I think the only part of this specific review you missed out on Jules was that it felt like there was a lack of research and not much said about the car. However, you mentioned how tired you were before having to do this review and that you didn't get enough time to read more. I am also glad you mentioned the things thst annoyed you aren't actually unique to this product and rectfied the door thing at the end. I enjoy your reviews because they dont sound like propaganda or brand praise reviews. There is so much more to the car and just like ypu said, one should go and experience the car themselves

Strong agree. Generally do like the more casual / chaotic approach to the reviews, but this one seems.. not super representative of the actual car. Knowing nothing about the car, I walked past one at a dealership, got in and went for a test drive, and had none of these issues (and knew about the buttons for opening the doors - FYI it's one of the things you get on the AWD that you don't get on the FWD.) This video, albeit entertaining, can be summarised as old-man-yells-at-clouds

@@bernardbravenboeryes theres alot missed about the car. I think the positive thing is that theres actually not much to complain about the product and it showed in the review. I was one of the first customers and had done thorough research on the Exeed RX before it launched as the C9 here. I was in the market for a new BMW X3 or used X5. I am happy to say I am extremely happy with the C9 and I don't feel like I am missing anything from the new X3, if anything the C9 feels alot more premium inside. Decided against the used X5 after getting to experience the C9 in person, X5 is still a better car but the appeal of a brand new C9 at its price was too good to ignore, especially when I felt it edged the X3 in the premium feel and didn't feel that less in terms of the driving experience.

Manufacurers must give the option in the settings to turn of all alert sounds (including voices telling you what driving mode you have chosen) as well as intrusive driver assist functions that stay permanently off, and do not require you to switch them all off every time you drive the car. In our car market, we have no legislative requirement for safety ratings in order for a car to be sold. The reason why these kinds of intrusive "aids" and alerts are permanently switched on is because in markets like Australia, they are required to have those functions permanently turned on in order for the car to retain its ANCAP safety rating. But guess what - we’re not Australia, so there is no reason why any manufacturer in South Africa is compelled to plague us with these annoyances.

I see a lot of people upset in the comments about the native reviews on Chinese vehicle but this is truth. We have a Tiggo 7 pro max AWD and the technology in these vehicles are very inconsistent. One day it works, one day it doesn’t. And their safety systems are too intrusive. The car drove onto an island at the traffic light because it thought we were crossing a line that wasn’t there. They are great vehicles with good engines but the inconsistencies of the tech will make you not want it

You are always negative about Chinese cars. You find something to pick on: warning systems, the keys, the accelerator, and you go on and on, forgetting to produce a proper, balanced review. The warning systems are needed for the safety rating. When they help you to switch them, off you say: but what is the point of having them!🤣 The amount of features always gets mentioned in a way that it is over the top. You are indirectly saying that this car is prone to crashing. If you got so annoyed that you actually wanted to crash this car on Chapmans Peak, then you are not suited to be a car reviewer, and you should look for treatment. With your mood swings, you must be real annoyance to other road users. No car is perfect but we welcome the Chinese because as motorists we want more competition in the market. A small hatchback cost R400k nowadays, and your beloved mainstream manufacturers are overcharging us.

Strange, for the last 3 year I feel J has been overly pro for the Chinese products. Now she has a negative opinion and you all go nuts.. still waiting for one of these to even cover 150k km and be in good shape. I recent heard of failure of gearboxes and engine and they not honouring the Warranty even thought they have been serviced in full and on time
@jeroenjansen270910 күн бұрын
@seanfenwick 150 km?🤣 She creates a negative image / association with the car. With the Ommoda it is the accident that people will remember, whether it happened or not. She often ridicules the name in order to put people off considering buying the car. Nobody wants their friends making fun of them because they bought a 'funny car'. With the BAIC, she ranted on and on about the booting up time, not worth the award / hype. Tiggo 7 was dismissed because of a soft suspension and an overly sensitive throttle. Jetour switches itself on, and people will forget that it is an attractive family car. The cover photo of the Tiggo 4 test shows her screaming in terror with a wide open mouth. In advertising, a subconccious glamours association is created with the product. With Juliet a negative sublimal association is created with the product.

Some GWM’s are getting there and why is it that the insurance companies have started listing these Chinese cars as risks? This is a poor review that is informed by poor research and in ablilty to accept change. A car reviewer should evaluate the specifics, strengths, and weaknesses of a car. The inability to understand some of the specs and basing an entire review on nitpicking points is very unfortunate. This is very dangerous to your followers.

It is Governments who legislated for all these safety systems, and car manufactures must comply. That is the LAW. It is now a broken record, with every reviewer going on about the safety tech in every review. Time to stop and either do not review the vehicles or take it as understood that the safety features are in modern vehicles and there is nothing one can do about it. Nor can manufactures omit these safety features, as they cannot guarantee where the vehicles are sold. That is why the EU mark is universal. One manufacturing standard excepted anywhere in the World.
