This is a great small throw in the bag transmitter with hall effect gimbals. Great value for money. I have this, a qx7, a t8sg, and a tx16s just as a comparison note. I would however recommend getting a vas 2.4 diamond antenna for it though.

Does the left stick self center? I'm looking to use this for My Micro Crawlers couple SCX24 Deadbolts and a DasHex 24 MOA rig. I'm 47 and fairly new to the new tech. I started back in RC10 pre LOSI Jrx2 days so Not SURE but fairly certain these CAN be used to drive trucks and tanks RIGHT? 🤷🙁 HOPE SO. Will this bind with Dynam and Elite/Hobbyzone planes?
@Quadcopter1013 жыл бұрын
Hobbyzone BNF planes generally use Spectrum DSMX receivers. So yes, this should work. Select DSM_X protocol in the protocol menu. But note that Dynam planes are usually PNP. That means that you need to install your own receiver in the Dynam planes, as there is none installed.

Is there like a short Nubby antenna replacement? I'mma use this to drive 1/24 scale Rock Crawlers I'm basically STANDING right over em most of the time I need a RANGE of around 10'! 🤣 Just needed something with a LOT of channels running 4 wheel steer, DIG, a winch, lights etc. That wouldn't be a Brick cause I take these EVERYWHERE and run em whenever I find odd rock piles and landscaping around town that looks challenging. It's like finding new skate spots back in the 80s and sessioning a new ledge or handrail. Smaller scale has turned common parking lot landscaping crap into miniature Mountain ranges ALSO....I can't fly a drone with a pistol grip radio so eh. 🤷

I believe the reason none of them include batteries is for shipping. Can only ship lipos here in the states via ground. Would add a huge time delay/shipping cost for getting my Tx shipped. I got my tx shipped 2 day, took nearly a week to get my batteries though (if they werent local)

Hi, is the T12 pro the best value MPM tx to buy these days, I am presently using deviation on the devo 7e n was wondering whether I should upgrade to OpenTx, i notice that there is a Deviation version of T8SG plus v3 too So just trying to figure out if I should upgrade n if so which tx will be the smart choice between T12 pro, TX16S, T8SG plus V3, Jumper T-Lite or any other tx that you may recommend .. Thanks for the input ..
@Quadcopter1013 жыл бұрын
It depends on what you fly. If smaller aircraft and micro drones, the T-Lite. If larger aircraft and full sized racer drones, either the T12 or T8SG are good. And if you're flying larger aircraft that need more switches (such as for flaps and gear), then the TX16. Also keep in mind that the T8SG would be the easiest for you to transition to because of its Deviation software. The others all use OpenTX. I used to prefer Deviation as I started with a deviated Devo 10, but have come to the realization that OpenTX is the way to go. It takes a little learning, but is much more configurable. It's also much more easier to setup the switches for.

I have the same Jumper v.2 that you have but I am interested in one of these compact "Lite" models that you reviewed here. My concern is output power. The Jumper v2 will transmitt at more that 100mw and you say this is only 25mw. Doesn't that severely limit range on some models? Can you select higher mw power when setting up a model in Open TX? And if you pick 100mw will it work if you adapt a higher capicity battery to attach to your belt maybe? Also the V2 uses higher voltage with its two 18650 batts unless it is wired parallel I guess. Trying to figure this stuff out, lol.
@Quadcopter1013 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can select higher output power. But expect issues to arise because of inadequate power from that single 18650 battery.

@jpsalis3 жыл бұрын
OpenTX is the name of the software, the name refers to the codebase being open-source operating with a GPL license, meaning the code can be viewed, and anyone in the community can help to collaborate on it. GPL ensures the codebase and any code based on the library must be open-source as well.

A 'toy grade' TX for 'toy grade' quads ... I'll keep my Taranis X9D+ ... I don't find it heavy at all, and never use a lanyard. BTW, you can get a module for the X9D+ to fly any of the other protocols. The RANGE of this toy grade TX is likely 1/10th that of the Taranis as well. You just can't get much TX power out of a single 18650 cell.
@mikeevans69263 жыл бұрын
This isn't true at all the range is nominally less but unless you are trying to use crossfire at 500+mw it's fine. This is the same grade as your x9d+ and not on some bullshit access protocol. That being said I much prefer my tx16s but for a small throw in the bag transmitter that's cheap this can't be beat.
@billsomrak3 жыл бұрын
@@mikeevans6926 "a small throw in the bag transmitter that's cheap" ... yep ... you get what you pay for.
