Hi TMac, another great video thank you. Is there anyway of identifying which firmware is already installed on the FrSky receivers? I've held off updating my old R-XSR's but I've also a couple of new R-XSR's which I assume FrSky may have supplied with latest firmware.
@TMacFPV4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! 🙏James, I really wish I had the answer you're looking for because you asked $1 million question! What firmware is currently on the FrSky receivers sitting on the shelves of all the vendors? Do some R-XSRs have v1.x and others have 2.1? Do the vendors site show what version, no. The vendors most likely do not know. Has FrSky said when they did (or will) start shipping receivers with v2.1 on them? Not to my knowledge. So, where does that leave us? Purchase an R-XSR, try to bind it with FrSky D16 with previous multimodule firmware. If it works, then you have a receiver with v1.x firmware on it. If it doesn't and you did everything else correctly, it may have v2.1 on it, in which case you would need to update your multimodule firmware. OR, just update your multimodule firmware to the latest and whatever FrSky ACCST receiver you buy, update those to v2.1 when you get them (which I believe is what I would do--oh yeah, I just did!)😀👍Also, remember there are many other options out there for you as well (see referenced video in link above for those).

@TMacFPV4 жыл бұрын
Hey Joel, quite welcome friend👍ACCST is FrSkys previous version firmware (been around for a long time and a whole lot of receivers and TXs use it). ACCESS is FrSky's newest firmware which is compatible only with FrSky transmitters. It has 24 channels instead of 16 for ACCST. It has slightly less latency than ACCST, and "automatic binding" (similar to XFire) by "registering" your RX to TX first. I primarily use Crossfire myself. "Just works!"

Hey Miguel, congratulations on your new TX16S! Nice! Well, I have no idea what firmware FrSky is currently shipping on their receivers. I'm guessing it has ACCST D16 v2.1 firmware on it. If that is the case, you should try binding it to your TX16S with FrSky X2 protocol within the internal multimodule. IF it has the older ACCST D16 version firmware on it, just try binding it with FrSky D16 protocol. so, try one and see if it works. If not, try the other. Hey Tmac, I've yet to pull the trigger on a Jumper. Can you tell me what kind of range you're getting with the multi module? I assume it is limited range like my Devo7e (my toy level TX) versus the full range native module.
@TMacFPV4 жыл бұрын
Hey Ferociter! The Jumper T16 pro (and now V2) comes with an internal multimodule integrated within the transmitter (actually INSIDE the transmitter). Your "range" will depend on many factors, however, the multimodule it uses is "hobby grade" not "toy grade." You can learn more about the multimodule at www.multi-module.org/ . Its got the same standard output power as other hobby grade transmitters. The type of receiver you use on your RC aircraft, the environment you fly in, etc. will affect your "range." Many experienced FPV pilots use the Jumper T16 Pro. It also has an external module bay which you can plug a TBS Crossfire module into (that operates at 900 MHz instead of the regular 2.4 GHz) that will give you more than enough range for whatever type flying you do (it also penetrates wooded areas and buildings better than 2.4 Ghz so you can fly in/through/around trees and buildings without losing control signal. Hope that helps and stay in touch!

Great FRsky spends months working on the V2 firmware for their transmitter and receivers and Jumper just steals it as soon as it is released. When will jumper do some of their own development.

Hi, just flashed R1+ with ACCST 2.1 and works fine, but I've got an error executing lua script for BF bf.lua): Telemetry protocol not supported ! I also updated scripts to the latest version available. IS anyone facing the same issue ?
