Here’s my take on it: The girl (Celine) is in a relationship she feels trapped in, pretending everything’s fine when it’s clearly not, hence the straitjacket. The music man (Jeppe) feels the pressure of the world watching him, judging his music and critiquing, hence the eyeballs. The poker man (Lau) feels insecure with himself, worrying that his friends don’t actually like him seeing as they won’t pay attention to him fuelling his anxious thoughts, hence the fight against himself in his game. However, he decides to contact them on the platforms they’re glued to, via their phone and computer to play with him, bringing them all together. Yeah another thing with Lau "Poker Man" is that he seems to be in conflict with himself. Because both the characters are him, and they are in a power struggle, meaning he has an internal conflict with himself, we also see that the timer is set to infinity, so this could mean the conflict goes on until he figures out how to win over himself

poor lau is just trying to help,,, celine and jeppe are both in their more isolated parts of the room, agonizing over decisions they're trying to make (celine trying to decide how to respond and whether to express her anger honestly is shown as her straitjacketed, edgier self; jeppe trying to craft the perfect song and being hyperaware of the judgement of others is shown as the game of eyeball-go), while lau is in the common area, trying to reach out and bring them out of their internal struggles (throwing poker chips at them until they look up). when they both ignore him, lau gets discouraged and retreats to his own space, where he starts arguing with himself about whether he should leave them alone or pester them into hanging out (the battle of two inner selves, equally matched). he realizes that he's stuck in his head just like celine and jeppe are (the two selves look up at each other instead of at the ground), and he decides that he's not going to leave them alone (spam texting them until they cave), which forces them to make a decision (celine sending an empty text instead of expressing herself, jeppe saving off his file instead of continuing to pick it apart, second-guessing his judgement). they all move from their isolated spaces into the common area, putting aside their inner turmoil to spend time together (all the depictions of their inner conflict jumping in front of the train) the inner lau smiles as he jumps because he understands that it's good to get rid of that conflict for now) i think that the depictions of conflict also could indicate their self-awareness: jeppe's conflict looks like a bad acid trip, celine's conflict looks like her, only edgier and angrier and thrashing against a straitjacket, and lau's conflict looks like... him, but two. i see this as indicating that jeppe is not very self-aware about his indecision, celine is aware of what she's doing but isn't able to stop doing it, and lau is able to recognize his own patterns and disrupt them. also, when lau is throwing poker chips at them, celine looks up after being hit by one chip, but jeppe doesn't look up until he gets hit with a full handful of them, indicating that jeppe might be more stuck in his conflict than celine, who at least knows she's not being honest about her feelings. sorry for the hopefully-not-incoherent text block, i'm high af and rambling and i've been watching this on loop for days lmao. character analysis brought you by that one psychology class i took in high school also, the system font being X's and O's and |'s is a cool detail

Ooh I love the imagery for each of their personal struggles. Really they're all dealing with different forms of the same thing, they just vocalize their problems differently. It's basically indecision brought on by a negative emotional cycle, which becomes hard to break out of and leads to stagnation. I think that's why the train at the end is a good metaphor. Its a force strong enough to break them out of a depressive spiral, allowing them to regain control of their emotions and find the perspective they needed.

I'm absolutely obsessed with this animation video, it relaxes me and makes me determined at the same time! THESE ARE ALL THEORIES. Celine - Too scared of facing her problems and confrontation with people and issues most likely because she is afraid of neglect or abuse and what might happen to her or is just sensitive. Lau - Self problems most likely to do with depression or alcoholism, seen with his bottle on the poker table and constantly wanting a distraction from his inner problems when going to the computer is confronted with something related to his issues to cause him to instantly want a distraction so he spams his friends to play poker implying a haste and need almost addiction to take his mind off the problems he’s face Jeppe - A fear of being judged for his actions, example of when he is about to make his move during the board game of “Go”, Jeppe is being watched before making his move signifying he is afraid of what the eyes/people think of his answers. Train - This is a weird theory compared to others but I believe the train means they’ve overcome their issues for the meantime as the train is hitting the ideas of their issues and they’re the ones being hit therefore meaning being hit by a train is a defeat the issues of each character was not able to dodge or stop the train meaning theyre the ones defeated and after playing poker and all connecting with eachother theyve all gained a sense of happiness and aren’t as the song implies “insane” for that current time. I do not think is Lau addicted to poker.

In almostr 3 minutes we see 3 characters fighting their demons and trying to overcome them. This is what ive gathered from this video. Celine is having issues with a love interest. They ask her if they're okay to which she sends a heart, although she debates sending more aggressive messages such as 'I hate you' This tells us that something has happened between the twowhich has led Celine to feel angry and stop talking to them. We see this by her not responding to any of their previous messages. We also see a version of Celine in a straightjacket, I think that this is Celines inner words thatshehas to suppress for the fear of damaging their relationship. Next is Jeffres. We see him making music and obviously he is scared of uploading it. His fear is the eyes that watch his every move. We even see the food in his hand turning into eyes watching him, showing how he always feels as if people are watching him, judging him. Lastly we have Lau. Lau seems to be the social one here, trying to get Celine and Jeffres into playing poker. But when they decline, bwingtoo busy with their own situations, he deflates. Lau feels the need to be social to maintain a reputation. When he offers to play poker he seems confident and proud but we see that image fade. Without them, he feels lonely, shown by him playing a game against himself. This game shows his inner struggle with his personalities. Trying to be someone he's not. The end we see all of these fears jump in front of a train, e.g.. Celine in a straightjacket, Jeffres with the bowl of eyes, and Laus inner conflict. I think this symbolises them getting rid of these fears and trying to live without them. Symbolised by them playing poker at the end. Sorry if this was long, just want to share what I understood here!
