Kendrick Lamar's DAMN....damn...this album is going to need A LOT of listens to dissect and decipher. Usually we would put our album review/final thoughts here, but we just need more time with this album to give precise clear thoughts on it. We will post our review of the album on Medium here: medium.com/@junglebeats stay tuned to that if you're interested: If you want to see us create more vidoes consider supporting us on Patreon here: www.patreon.com/JungleBeats You can find the Kendrick Lamar DAMN poster artwork here: wheniseeit.com/products/kendrick-lamar-damn-album-artwork An interesting theory I read: "This album has 2 stories, wickedness story and weakness story, listening to it in order 1-14 tells one story, while listening to it 14-1 tells a different story. In one he lives through FEAR, in another one he lives through RAP and dies on the street, becoming just another news story, hence why the order 14-1 ends with the BLOOD's Fox News sample. The cover shows 2 kendricks, a wicked red one, and a weak green one on the back. The reversed parts in the album are the hints of him telling us to "PUT IT IN REVERSE... Listening conventionally Kendrick tells his life as it is, from being violent and abrasive in DNA, form pride to being humble, from lust to love, from fear to god, and finally seeing his whole life and appreciating it in Duckworth, but yet dying and seeing all of that flash before his eyes (expressed by the reversed part at the end of Duckworth) In that version he lives through fear, fear of leaving everything on earth. Listening reverse, he has no father figure showing him the right path, so he starts arrogant, feeling like GOD, and only gets worse, going form being HUMBLE to being PROUD, or feeling LOVE to feeling LUST, to finally ending as an aggressive rapper on top of the world on DNA, yet getting killed all the same and ending up as another Fox News story. The two versions of his life end up with him dying to a random predicament, no matter what version you choose, he dies and is forced to leave it all behind, weather he was Weak (living in fear) or wicked (living through rap) the curse of DAMNATION forces him to leave on earth what happens on earth all the same, and once you realize that all you can say is... DAMN" - @Don Ramon (kzbin.info)

TPAB is still his best album in my personal opinion, a true creative masterpiece, almost flawless tbh. Although, Damn is an amazing body of work in its own right as well. With Damn, he ventures out and plays with so many different styles and sounds, it's really nothing less than amazing how well he blended all these styles together. The fact that he does all this while also making the work more accessible to a wider audience is a very impressive feat to have for this. I personally give it a 9/10 Thank you for the art and endless inspiration Kenny 🙌🏽🙏🏽

I know other people have said it before but I rather watch you guys reacting to just the audio than watch you guys watching a screen with the music videos. Even if like you said it's just you sitting there, it's genuine, it's real, I can relate. Perhaps you could do separate video reactions? Other than that Alex S is my spirit animal and I live for his reactions 🔥😂 I felt the same way on that smooth transition from Blood to DNA. Shout out to A Mann too for calling out bad tracks too, someone's gotta say it hahaha

Hahah feels good to be a spirit animal. But we'll always try and watch music videos with the album so we get a more in depth understanding of the track/album. Actually maybe what we should do for next time is listen to the track and THEN the music video instead of the other way around. Yeah..think that'll work better. Thanks J.

In "Lust" he's talking about being thirsty sexually, but he's talking in 3rd person, telling himself that he needs to calm down. This song is about not knowing the difference between if you're lusting or if it's love that you're feeling, but he's saying if you're gonna do something make it count. There is a song about God but the album is not about God. The album is about his fears and his most vulnerabilities.

The middle of the song he talks about the trump election on how everyone is against it for a little while then just forgetting about it later on and everyone going back to their regular life routines. In lust he is saying he needs holy water 1-14 he got shot through wickedness. It seems like a roller coaster because it's like his life flashed before his eyes. You are suppose to listen 14-1 Kendrick lives through fear in rap (weakness)Blood/Duckworth are interchangeable intro/outro. If you notice in the Damn video Yah is playing first. Please listen in reverse. There is also a reverse part in fear. In Duckworth Kid Capri say we are gonna put it in reverse. (Hence: on the front of the album cover he looks drained on the back of the cover he looks in fear) In Blood it say weakness or wicked you choose live or die. Respect don't put Kendrick in a box! To me you can't compare albums with Kendrick he is unpredictable. They all are so different. I appreciate the unknown and versatility pure genius!

i dont know how people can hate songs like loyalty love and god. maybe its just bias or the songs growing on me but i think they are fire. “i’ll never listen to this song again” is just ignorant

ScolexPlaysEverythin g I think it's amazing in its storytelling and how graphic it is, it is always hard for me to get through, quite an amazing track that is so confronting. - A. Mann

React to the new Gorillaz album boys. I like it. Its got some smooth tracks, some tracks with "barz," and two tracks I'm not sure what to make of 'em.

If you dissed “LOVE” , any album review , you don’t listen to actual music period . You are just a tool, simply Gettin into mainstream music, not a real fan or rap like NIKO IS... Sol Rey, Logics- Everybody. Like there’s more then hard rap, falsetto and love music . Even the COCTEAU twins sound amazing with they’re song ALICE
