Yes, Tatiana does the growls as well as that angelic clean voice. Courtney LePlant from IWABO has moved on to a band called Spiritbox, where she still kills it. Vlad himself is a classically trained pianist, a great guitar player and pure beast on drums. He does much of the musical arrangements for the band because of his classical training. Edit: that pause around the 10:30 mark where he has his hands raised over his head, you totally missed his "K" tattoo.
@Dark__Thoughts3 жыл бұрын
Courtney wasn't the only vocalist of IWABO though.

Dude I’m so happy you got to Vlad. All the musicians in this band are incredible even if they tend to get overshadowed by Tati
@stevegipps99303 жыл бұрын
Vlad is a pro concert pianist. Drums are his second best instrument. HA! Just read an interview with the bassist, apparently Vlad wrote and composed 95% of the new album coming out. The first single is released Thursday. Dude is a genius, plays every instrument. Definitely check out more from them. Teacher Teacher official video is an insane showcase for the drums.
@scottkinner97763 жыл бұрын
Yep...all the vocals are Tatiana Shmailyuk. The classic "reaction" song for Jinjer is their studio version of "Pisces" - while the video doesn't showcase Vlad, it certainly shows him playing some different styles and effortlessly shifting between them. While none of the band is in the "Judgment and Punishment" video, it is another Jinjer song with different percussion styles.
@futurewavecs3 жыл бұрын
Judgement and Punishment with the Reggae sections definitely does make it interesting. I actually would recommend the video of Tatiana standing there singing it as opposed to the official video that doesn't show the band at all. I prefer watching performance rather than watching some movie stuff.

Great reaction and very informative. My brother is a drummer, and has been for almost 50 years. I just love Jinjer, and yes all of the singing and growls are done by Tatiana, she is a vocal beast. Vlad is a phenomenal drummer. I'm gonna suggest a possible future reaction video and that video is by Jinjer's previous drummer to Vlad, and his name is Dmitry Kim. The video/song is Captain Clock, playthrough Dmitry Kim. That song is insane, and Dmitry also plays insane on that track. Keep up the great reactions, and as always, stay Metal my friend. 😊🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶

If you listen to other songs from Jinjer, it becomes blindingly obvious that all three instrumentalists have at least had part of their training as jazz musicians. Vlad weaves in triplets, false notes and flams a lot, and plays with dynamics a lot.... He's also a seasoned session multi-instrumentalist, piano is his first instrument.
@ftasenotfed3 жыл бұрын
Vlad is right handed but plays open handed. Rumor has it he also grew up playing piano and he's decent at guitar as well. He flips his sticks and yes all the vocals including growls is Tatiana Shmaylyuk. At the time you paused and commented on the track suit jacket you missed the K custom tattoo he has on his forearm.

As said , Vlad is a Classically trained Pianist since a child. He also composed Perennial and the majority of Jinjer's music since he joined in '17. Vlad sounds like a jazz or classical piano cat to me. This would also explain the open hand dexterity and precision work, the layout of his drums with cymbals on top of each others ... and all. Thanks for all the work. Good review. I must say, I have a couple of things to say to the extraneous stuff in the review. - Eurovision (bubblegum + politics) not worth talking about in the context of real life music and musicians. - Sounds like the only metal you ever heard is Wake me up inside (Bring me back to life) ... and you don't sound very enthused ... so, maybe holding off commenting on things we don't know or understand is the way to go. - Anti-slavic jokes (and they are that), also not necessary (just bad vibes). - Fashion commentary from a Levi's wearing middle aged man ... I don't know. I would avoid the topic (no matter how many memes i have come across). - You may have missed a few things in term of the composition and where the drums fit in (as they are playing as a uint and mess with time and space - not necessarily all at the same time). Watch the actual live performance from Waken ... maybe you will see what I mean. - The reason the vocals offend your voodoo child sensibilities is because of the harmonic progressions in combo with the modal scales ... leading into a chromatic step that makes (in your experience) the pentatonic a six tone scale ... anyway, insulting a whole continent while making claims to someone else's culture .. also not my first choice. But hey. You ar doing you. I respect that.
