You would figure that they would get more money selling it as a whole and not in the junkyard. That car doesn't belong there. Sad.

What a shame! I love these 2nd gen Legends and I had a '94 from '97-'02. I have to admit that I hated these Special Editions when they came out because of the two-tone paint. It seemed like Acura was copying the Lexus ES at the time. You have to wonder how a car in such good condition (and that should have been good for 200k+ miles) ended up here. I suppose a blown engine or transmission might have been enough if they only thought of it as a 29yr old car. But it looks like it has some major potential for someone with the time and money!

"It seemed like Acura was copying the Lexus ES300 at the time"...who was certainly copying Mercedes in that regard! I was a long-time first generation Legend fan but these second generations have finally grown on me to where I now prefer the sedans at least, the coupes I still prefer the visual litheness of the older cars. Thanks for watching!

This one hurts to see in a junk yard 🥹 I wish it could be saved!

That car shouldn't have been there !! Ive had one and its clearly one of my favorites...such a nice all around car .

Odd that it was a "special edition" but didn't come with auto climate control that was standard on LS trim. By now I bet so many of the parts are gone off this treasure...

Sad thing is, somebody probably wanted to do the gaskets and EGR service but couldn't do it themselves it find a shop willing to take on the job. Eventually the EGR clogs and leads to horrific overheating problems. The cooling systems are hard to keep air out of apparently

No, once they are in the junkyard they are there for good, unfortunately.

No idea, I liked it too, it really was in phenomenal condition, especially the interior. I'm guessing older person, original owner, and then maybe timing belt...? Or the other usual possibility with a low mile spotless car and nobody in the family that lived far away wanted to deal with the usual random craigslist and facebook scam buyers and didn't want a near-30yo car for themselves. Thanks for watching!
