I know exactly who you are referring to. It's two guys in particular. They've established a camp, and if you don't agree with everything they say, the will mercilessly attack you. You have to walk in perfect lockstep with them, or you are labeled the enemy. My question is, who made these two random guys the kings of toys? So they have KZbin channels, so what? Why are these two dudes so important? I remember once I tried to explain I liked a certain toy line, and they said "Don't like that toy line!" Who the hell are you dude? I'm not going to listen to you! You're just some random dude on the internet. You have no bearing on my life. Get the hell out of my face with that bullying crap. I have always considered your channel a nostalgia channel that has toy videos on it. You remind me of stuff that I had forgotten about and sometimes I learn something I didn't know. Sometimes I leave long comments with details nobody else cares about but when I get my memory jarred I just go. It's nice to get memories back.

Almost all the drama is caused because the Retroblasting guy suffers from vulnerable narcissism. He demands narcissistic supply from others around him, which unfortunately includes other toy KZbinrs. As long as these KZbinrs are giving him positive narcissitic supply all is well. As long as these guys accept their roles as his flying monkeys, then all is fine. However, the moment that a person stops feeding him positive narcissistic attention that person, in his head, moves from the status of food supply and becomes a threat who he will attempt to destroy by any means necessary, often very publicly. This is why there are so many KZbinrs who work so hard at keeping him happy with them and serving as part of his army of flying monkeys who he can send out to destroy anyone who is not bending the knee to him. People have to understand that he desires positive narcissitic supply and will see any other form of attention as a personal attack on him. Vulnerable narcissists cannot take a joke at their expense because it compromises their personal false narcissistic fantasy self image. What all the KZbinrs who are currently serving as his flying monkeys fail to understand is that he will turn on each and every one of them the moment that they fail to give him enough positive supply.

I am a middle aged collector, in my mid 60s. I really haven't had as much problem with acceptance as a lot of people because I was manager and eventually owner of different Comic Book Stores for 24 years! So I WAS the local Comic Book Store! I also ran RPG games for a long time. Mostly Super Heroes RPG, and some AD&D. As a result I know a lot of other guys who are close to my age doing this hobby. I have a pretty good collection, but there are a lot of guys with 10 times what I have, and collecting only half as long.

It’s kind of bizarre how Analog Toys appears to worship RB. I think Analog Toys is a very talented guy, but he almost imitates RB like a little brother. He poses with toys very similar to RB. He dresses up in outfits for videos in a way that RB would. He has a similar opinion with RB on just about anything. The content is eerily similar. Analog Toys is a skillful guy, I just think he should create more of his own thing, rather than being such a RB fanboy.

I am a huge, huge Star Wars and GI Joe fan and collector. I do not own one Black Series figure nor do I own any Classified figures. Your choice to buy or not buy an item in no way diminishes your toy collection. Your interest levels are your own. Define your collection parameters by your standards, not someone else's.

I have the details on the latest disaster: Scott ‘ToyGuru’ Neitlich, MattyCollector brand manager for DC and Masters Of The Universe Classics is the issue that is going on. Apparently he’s been accused of putting himself intentionally in the story since he bought his own character from childhood as a toy for the 30th Anniversary in 2012. I was involved on Analog Toys, where I attempted to defend Neitlich after RetroBlasting decided to release a video denouncing him for hijacking Masters Of The Universe. It’s been going around for years, and this started due to internal actions at Mattel that fired off fans against Neitlich. The website got lots of conspiracies thrown at it which eventually ended in it being shutdown in 2017. It’s between RetroBlasting and Spector Creative if you’re wondering where it is happening. So there is a reason behind this as it involves a toy company. It’s more of a legal battle if you will.

Exactly how it is for me. I never been on forums, didn't know they even were a thing, don't talk to anyone, but keep to myself. I just love hearing stories about the past of growing up in the 70s and 80s and see what all I missed. Like a time capsule story. I am not sure you'll read this, but if'n you do, I reckon you'll understand. I was born in '84, so I missed the bus on the early days. I spent my childhood hunting yard sales and antique malls trying to find Star Wars toys. I have always loved the story of Luke Skywalker. The permutations of his journey adhere to the maxim of absurdity (credo quia absurdum). The story of the Jedi basically being so tragically flawed that they fail (not without help), and that a boy from a wasteland might bring them back... only for him to fail as well. It is a truly human tale. So! I also collect pieces from my favorite scene: Luke, Vader and Palpatine in Jedi. Lastly, if you did a Collaboration with Usual Mike... that would be a wonderfully fun day.

I enjoy the history of Star Wars, and I used to collect them for a brief time, as well as other toy lines from the 80's. I do, fortunately, have the whole Kenner Super Powers collection. I've had to struggle to keep it. I no longer own the other stuff because of the burden of paying bills. As an adult, it's too difficult and expensive for me to keep large collections. I think you don't need every single toy in a collection to be a fan. I'm a fan because I enjoy the nostalgia.

I watched the video by RetroBlasting and the response from Scott Neitlich. (Spector). Scott sounds like a adult to me. RetroBlasting sounded like a grumpy old man who is mad that people have a different opinion. Scott was the guy behind Matty Collector. He was a Mattel employee. His views on toy's is going to be very different than a collector. I find that interesting. At this point I believe that Retro is looking for a fight. His channel has gone past drama and settled in "hate click" territory. He is making videos to attract a angry response.

I defended Specter Creative on line after Retroblasting’s unwarranted attack video on him just because without mentioning any names he said good thinks about Hasbro Pulse crowd funding (how dare he!). As a result I got attacked hard from fans of Retroblasting and Analog Toys. I remember the scam with megalopolis and a very big sub count KZbinr that had some stake in the company that scammed his viewers in buying/preordering from mega has not apologized or took any action to get his viewers money back. The downside of some of this internet drama is that if you don’t address it, then people start to assume that you are hiding something. And if someone starts to make false accusations against you, then silence is usually interpreted as guilt. So you have to address some of the drama just to clear your own name. However, drama is just par for the course if you have a successful KZbin channel, although it’s not something that was invented by KZbinrs. Why do you think tabloid and gossip magazines were so popular before the internet? People love drama.
