I barely comment on here, even though I watch quite a lot of your content ever since your collab with vex mtg. What i feel i need to say this time is: pleeeaaaase, more deck techs like this. You explain the cards really well, you speak in a calm and soothing voice. Its sooooo much more enjoyable than most of YT's rapid and mostly digital deck techs. Thanks for this video!

When it comes to Gishath, perhaps the opponents should not move. Gishath may not see them if you know what I mean.

Apex Altisaur's trigger is up to one. You can choose zero targets from the trigger. It doesn't have to fight until it dies. I've noticed that most people don't know that. Also, one difference between my gishath and yours is I use progenitors icon as a mana rock. Being able to hold up defensive mana or play a Dino at flash speed is really powerful.

I accidentally found a sweet little combo. I run "Savage Order" which causes me to sacrifice a creature with power 4 or greater, and tutor for a dino, to come to the battlefield with indestructible for the turn. Ive been grabbing apex altisaur and boardwiping all three opponents haha

You can also use natural order just that you’ll need a green Dino to sacrifice

Love that pairing of cards, every time I cast Savage Order my brother groans because I'm almost assuredly grabbing Apex Altisaur with it. The craziest part is it's still indestructible until my next turn! So if anyone reestablishes a board and tries anything funny I still have a nasty blocker that can fight everybody all over again if they try and swing

So that Marauding Raptor / Polyraptor combo - add your Wrathful Raptors to that combo and you've got game if there is no interaction :)

A follow up. I built this deck (commented earlier. Cost me a pretty penny but i love dinos lol) i lost the first gsme then absolutely destroyed the second game in a 5 way commander match haha. Such a dope deck i love it

I would recommend trying Pantlaza as the commander. You can get him out much faster, and it can be quite splashy in a matchup where it is hard to attack with Gishath. Sold build tho!

awesome deck tech because you detailed very well the neat combos and im so envy your deck is so shinyyyy. but im so sad aswell because very nice and this deck has very expensive cards but it runs into the same trap as i played it few years ago. There are so many non-dinos and you can wif your commander easily. I suggest heraldic banner for ramp and gisath power pump, changing sorc ramps to picking 2 or more lands from the deck. Rythm of the wild is better than otepec huntmaster because it can give haste to every creature or pump it and protection from counter

I also don’t know if I like combining the raptors with dealing dmg to each other. I feel like we either need to go all in ramp or make pantalaza commander and focus on dmging each dinosaur to stack effects

for my Gishath i use the Quartwood crasher because with double strike i can hit it off first trigger then get dino off second hiy

Do you think it's worth cutting the 5 non dinosaurs (goreclaw, xenagos, sakura-tribe elder, otepec huntmaster, and faeburrow elder) so that you can run kaheera as the companion? It's an extra card in your opening hand and none of those other creatures are doing things that are super unique, plus if you replaced them with dinosaurs you'd raise your gishath hit ratio slightly. Also, any reason you're not playing Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver? Those seem super good for protecting Gishath as they're free to cast with her. Love the video, thanks for making such great dinosaur content!

That's a cool thought. It could be worthwhile, although I'm not really sure how much effect Kaheera would have as just an extra card though... Would it do much in 4 player edh game? If there are good dinosaurs to swap out the other cards for, then it could be worth it though.

Dinosaurs are the most fun to play.. had to totally destriy my dino deck for UR-Dragon and Markov, but Im comming back soon, since Ive started collecting Magic sonce GODZiLLA cards I have a bunch of dinos

Dave, I noticed that you don't double sleeve except for a couple of expensive cards. Is there a reason you prefer single sleeving?

@@8thPlaceDave you should take a look at the new gamegenic boxes. It fits a fully double sleeved deck, your commander in their thick plastic holder and some spare room for about 10-20 single sleeved tokens.

I think it's a good inclusion. I used to have it in the deck, and it was good, but I ended up cutting it for one of the new cards from Lost Caverns of Ixalan. There are so many good dinosaurs at this point that there isn't room in the deck for all of them!

Combo with Polyraptor won't work. The copy will be 5/3 then the copy is dealt 2 damages and create itsel a copy that is 5/1 and will die to the 2 damages. It will only create 1 token
