The beatboxer is Adam Rupp, aka the "freak of nature". His talent is, indeed, insane. He does a "drum solo" (minus the actual drums) in their shows. Several are available as fan filmed videos.

Just to be clear, the last note was done by Tim Foust, the bass for Home Free that has a 5+ octave range and the beatboxer is our “human drum kit”. Home Free is my favorite group, they just make me happy! 😀 I hope you explore them more, we Home Fries love our boys and will be here for it! Thanks for a fun reaction!

Home Free is my favourite band. They do a lot of country but don't restrict themselves. They are an a capella band, though they use occasionally instruments, mostly when they collaborate with others. You'll always see the instrument in their videos. If you don't then it's done with their voices. Members: Adam Rupp (called Rupp nowadays): Beatboxer and provider of all kind of sound effects. If there's no beatboxing he's a tenor. Austin Brown (guy with the red lonnger hair, no beard in this one): high tenor, can go quite low as well, though. He left the group this June and Adam Bell-Bastien (called Bastien, pronounced Basteen) joined HF. Can't say much about him yet, as they've released only one song but as far as I can tell he'll fit right in. Rob Lundquist (dark hair, beard and glasses): second tenor, does occasionally baritone and can go lower than a usual tenor, too. Has a bit of opera training. Chris Rupp (guy in the cowboy hat): baritone (one of the most important roles in my opinion as they provide many of the backing vocals). Left in 2016 to go his own way. Adam Chance (called Chance) then joined HF. Has dark hair and a beard, usually no glasses, and often wears a cap or beanie. He's got a 4 octave range and is their secondary bass. Very smooth. Tim Foust (shoulder long brown hair, anything from around 2020 'til now shorter hair going grey): main bass singer, can go really low (end of the piano low) - the last low note was done by him - but as he has a 5 octave range, he can go really high, too and do baritone and tenor as well (his solo stuff is mind boggling). They are all incredible versatile and gave great control over their voices. They can all beatbox and produce the odd soundeffect, too, to varying degrees. They don't hold a candle to Adam Rupp, of course, as he is truly a master in what he does. They are quite funny, too, and many of their videos are at least a bit silly (I Swear), if not outright hilarious (The Butts Remix) or anything on between. They have serious songs and videos, too, though. Like Brothers In Arms or Everybody Walkin' This Land. All in all, you can't go wrong with Home Free as they don't have bad songs. Thanks for the reaction.

I see them any time they are within 250 miles of me. Their concerts are amazing, Tim, the bass. has blown speakers and made ceiling tiles fall with his low notes and Adam is beyond compare, Avi has the smoothest bass, Geoff from Voiceplay has the best subharmonics but for sheer depth Tim is the best. Not a single release that isn't fantastic. People say that if the a capella groups were in high school Pentatonix would be the popular kids, Voiceplay would be the theater kids and Home Free would be the jocks

Welcome to the fabulous world of Home Free. This song is done in a country reggae beat. It showcases the higher & lower ranges of both Tim Foust & Avi Kaplan. That last note of Tim is impressive with how low he goes, but more impressive is how long he sustains the note. On the "Sing Off Show" that Home Free won in 2013 Tim goes even lower on this song "Ring Of Fire" & he impressed the judges so much that they gave them a standing ovation. And Adam Rupp once again was stellar in his vocal percussion. Home Free is doing a 10 year anniversary album of all the songs they did on the "Sing Off". They just released another updated version of "Ring Of Fire".

Great Reaction!! Welcome to Home Free rabbit hole. The group started in 2000/2001( there’s contention on the year)by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do so so much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do. There is no Lead singer in the group. They each ( except Adam )sing the song and who’s ever voice or voices sound right for the song gets the lead unless is a bass/ baritone song then that’s Tim or Chance.A lot of time they each have a part in the song. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys. Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire can make almost any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota. Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) Very soulful voice and master whistler from Minneapolis,Minnesota Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland,Texas Austin Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair )Voice of an angel from Tifton Georgia. He has left the group and Adam Bastien took his place June 21 He is from Detroit,MI Adam Chance(Aka Chance):Baritone/Bass Deep, rich voice(Does the juice harp sound in Man Of Constant Sorrow) has short dark hair short beard from Baldwin County,Alabama.Replaced Chris Rupp ( Adams Brother and co founder in 2016) They have collaborated with many singers and legends Don McLean: Vincent Don McLean:American Pie Oak Ridge Boys:Elvira Kenny Rodgers:Children Go Where I Send Thee (Please watch the end message) Alabama:Christmas In Dixie Mark Wills:Don’t Laugh At Me ( important message at the end ) Lee Greenwood & US Airforce Band:God Bless The USA Any many many more. They have amazing songwriters in the group Tim, and Chance and Austin was also one of the songwriters so they have a very large playlist of covers and original songs End of the Road (Boyz 2 Men cover ) Helplessly Hoping (5 part harmony masterpiece ) Butts Medley/ Remix Listen To The Music Can’t Outrun You Brothers In Arms Skull And Bones ( original written by Chance for Ubisoft video game Skull And Bones) Life Is A Highway Stand By Me Jump Right In Any Way The Wind Blows I’ve Seen (Original by Tim) Your Man Crazy Life ( original and last video with Austin ) Something To Talk About ( first video with Adam B ) Mayday(DON’T WATCH TILL YOU ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE GROUP AND THEIR RANGES ) There's not a song that you pick from their 200+ catalog that is bad I haven't found one yet. They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is IMO Sorry for the long read 🏠🍟

And...another couple falls down the rabbit hole. You are so doomed. We’ll save you chairs. You’re about to be buried in Home Fries. Brace yourselves. Home Free is the only country a capella group out there, but they can - and do - sing every genre. And they have no lead singer. Every one of these men can take the lead, and they pick the lead for each song by who does it the most justice. During quarantine, they kept all us Home Fries sane by dropping new videos every couple of weeks while they were scattered across the country. God bless ‘em. All the men can beat box, but Adam Rupp is in a league of his own. He’s a world-class vocal percussionist and there’re good reasons he’s called a “Freak of Nature” and “the man who swallowed a drum kit.” For more of Adam’s incredible beat boxing, check out Sea Shanty medley (the man makes castanets, for Pete’s sake), his no-monica solo on Working For A Living and Ain’t Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up (that video is on Facebook), Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer (sleigh bells? seriously?) or his drum solos. For more of Tim’s seismic basso profundo, listen to Brothers In Arms, Misty Mountains (his collaboration with Peter Hollens), Folsom Prison Blues, or Ring Of Fire (the Sing Off version). This man’s range is incredible. You won’t want to miss his 5-octave run in 5 seconds in “Do You Hear What I Hear?” Tim also has a solo channel which you can view at www.timfoustmusic.com For Chance’s smooth baritone/bass, check out Skull & Bones, Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, Cover Me Up, I Can’t Outrun You, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome... a basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing (throat singing) the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow. Adam was formerly a member of Street Corner Serenade from 2010 - 2016 before joining Home Free in 2016 after the departure of co-founder Chris Rupp. You can find his solo work and collaborations at www.theadamchance.com For Rob’s soulful tenor, check out End of the Road, Blue Ain’t Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. (Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.) One Home Fry has described him as the vocal equivalent of a Swiss Army knife because of his versatility. Just wait until you hear him whistle! Rob and his friend Buegs host a podcast called “The Avid Indoorsmen” where they review movies, etc. You’ll find Buegs’ cameo in the Home Free video “The Butts Remix.” He’s wearing overalls. Don’t worry - you can’t miss him. You can check out their podcast at www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-avid-indoorsmen--3265024 For Austin’s soaring tenor, check out Crazy, Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he’ll sing you right out of it.) Austin left HF in June 2024. He’s newly married, and hasn’t been at home for Christmas in ten years due to Home Free’s heavy touring schedule. There are hundreds of videos with him, though, so you’ll still run into his work. You can also check out his solo work at www.austinbrownmusic.com Adam Bastien stepped into Austin’s tenor spot in June 2024. He’s currently on tour with HF, but we haven’t had a chance to see him in any videos yet. Home Free introduced him right, though. He debuted at the Grand Ole Opry with the Home Free men on June 22, 2024. So, yeah. Three of the five members of Home Free are named Adam. You’ll hear them referred to as “Chance,” “Bastien,” and “Rupp.” If they’re just using the name Adam, they’re talking about Adam Rupp, vocal percussionist extraordinaire. For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Working For A Living, Life Is A Highway, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Brother, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget (The older video. Tim wrote the worst country song he could think of, and it remains one of their most requested.) A word about “Brother” - if you want to hear the lyrics, you’re going to have to listen with your eyes closed, ‘cause otherwise you’ll never get past the humor of the video to actually hear what they’re singing. For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam’s arrangement. Nothing else like it.) For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne. For their mashups, check out Thinking Out Loud/Let’s Get It On, Fishing in the Dark/Boondocks, Country Fried Pop, or Woman, Amen/Female. The Home Free men are masters of collaborations. They put the spotlight on their collaborator, supporting them with wonderful vocals and amazing harmonies. Check out God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, American Pie and Vincent with Don McLean, Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys, Children Go Where I Send Thee with the late Kenny Rogers, Don’t Laugh At Me with Mark Wills, Christmas In Dixie with Alabama, Delta Dawn with Brooke Eden, or Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For with Peter Hollens. Get at least five videos under your belt and then listen to Mayday - the official video. After Mayday, you’ll be ready for Tim and Austin doing My Maria or Tim’s mashup of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay. Then, when you come up for air, check out Rob’s and Austin’s “Two Country Singers Try Singing Opera.” You’ll need smelling salts after that one. Don’t miss their official videos. The Home Free men will often do a straight, gorgeous vocal performance, but they’ll add elements of humor to the video that will leave you chuckling or even laughing out loud. (Folsom Prison Blues, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Working For A Living, Brother, Life Is A Highway). And God help you when you get hit with the Home Free Curse. They’ll cover a song you absolutely cannot stand and make you like it against your will. I’d been hit by the curse four times before I gave up and quit counting. I’m not the only victim of the Home Free Curse, either. Although their covers are amazing, don’t miss their original compositions. They range from the the poignant (So Long Dixie) to the patriotic (Land Of the Free). These include Dive Bar Saints (one of my favorites), Road Sweet Road, Catch Me If You Can, Lonely Girl’s World, The Stargazer Trilogy (Give Me A Sign, Stargazer Lilies, MR), Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget, Love Me Like That, Skull And Bones, and many, many more. Their synergy is phenomenal. Each is an artist in his own right, but man - when they sing together, magic happens. Wicked talent polished by decades of hard work. (Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road, Only In America) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don’t just own a cover, they upgrade it.” You are doomed, Home Fries. Bring ketchup.

They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Rob Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Unchained Melody, Listen to the Music, Brother and Stargazer Lilies trilogy: Give Me A Sign, Stargazer Lilies and Mr. ...Their latest releases are Might As Well Be Me, Playing With Fire, Remember My Name, Oh, Pretty Woman, Cruise, Stand By Me, Colder Weather and Life is a Highway. Love Home Free and PTX would also ask you go try out another a capella group called VoicePlay. Pentatonix ,Home Free and VoicePlay were on a show called The Sing off that only had a capella competitions. In 2011 Penatonix won that season, I believe it was the next season Home Free and VoicePlay were on together and Home Free won that season. Been awhile but think VoicePlay came in 4th. I know the fandom will correct me if I'm wrong😊. Most reactors end up reacting to all 3 groups even though all a capella groups they are all different. PTX generally pop and of course their amazing Christmas songs, Home Free of course predominantly country music and VoicePlay are considered the theater a capella group. Hoist the Colors, My Mother Told Me and Valhalla Calling I think you will enjoy. Check them out you wont be disappointed.😊

This is not a cover!!! This is a remake of the song written by June Carter-Cash, and recorded by Johnny Cash. A "cover" is what you get from a local band at the local bar. A song that is meant to sound like the original recorded song. Calling this a cover takes all the credit away from whoever did the arrangment for this.

I’m sorry guys! But the constant use of the “F” word is too much! You ruined the performance!

I don't listen to Home Free very much, I don't like country music, and that's the majority of HF's lineup, but they do have some I watch anytime those songs show up on my feed. I won't take anything away from is it Chase the beat-boxer. He is good. Difference between HF and PTX is HF wants their beatboxer out front in the center of attention, and PTX prefers the beatbox to be the supporting background. Now to make some people mad, this has been verified by Ed,, the guy that does all the video engineering for both groups, and PTX and HF, there are times when working on a HF video Ed will pull some clips of Kevin's beatboxing to add to the HF video, when Chase or Chance or whatever his name is just can't get the right sound. Both groups approved this before it was done the first time. That doesn't take away from what's his name, But Kevin just has a lot more ability, it's just not heard as much because he's in the background. I would love to hear the two groups collab on a song, they are all friends, so the different styles it just might not work, but man it would be epic.

Everything you’re saying is BS. Nobody pulls clips and Darren Rust Home Free’s Producer and Engineer Adam Rupp has been beatboxing for over 23 years he doesn’t need anybody else’s clips

You don't even know the beatboxer's name. You aren't telling the truth.
