@@Stuff-ut4bb based on what we know in chap 2, and that Deltarune and Untertale go by similar (albeit different in key ways) rules, is Frisk really “Frisk”? Or are they just a vessel for the player? They have interaction dialogue independent of the players input, like Kris, but it’s always fairly neutral, unlike Kris. Whoever Frisk is, what they say and do in the Underground is almost entirely up to you, even down to the name they go by, until the True Ending anyway. It’s weird, even when they do move by themselves (which only really happens often in the genocide route) it isn’t them either, it’s Chara, as far as we know. Frisk DOES show visible emotion to the characters without our input though, so I think that while they’re being controlled, it’s probably not as disruptive or uncomfortable as it is in Deltarune, either that or Frisk is just okay with being moved around like a puppet, which would be weird. TLDR: Frisk is an actual person under our full control, with real feelings and opinions, but they don’t seem to be distressed about us controlling them, suggesting that maybe to them they are just walking and dodging and all that themself, like a predeterminism sort of thing, where we decide what happens but frisk feels like they made that choice. In DR though, Kris knows and is fully aware of, and completely distressed by the fact that we are directly controlling them, and it shows in their interaction dialogue. When looking in the mirror in chap 2, Kris says: “It’s what they call ‘You’”

But wasn't Kris friends with Noelle? Plus, Susie only declares Kris as her friend AFTER Kris saved her. Not the player. Plus Kris probably knew Ralsei before delta rune even started, based on the first save point you see in both chapters.

Except this isn’t really accurate. We tell Kris what to do but they decide how they do it. If you feel bad for Kris just make decisions that he would prefer like not hugging Ralsei and saying your friends with Noelle

Sometimes I wish we could swap control with Kris so that they wouldn't have to rip us out to take control. I want Kris to be genuinely happy now. Not just a puppet. I've grown attached to them.

This is something I've said before in that everyone agrees that having your body controlled and made to do the evil choices is horrific, but the opposite where your body is taken over and not only does no one notice but the controlling entity is just a better person than you are and are making everything better, making friends, making parents proud, making everyone around you happy, the fact that they could do so much more that Kris could with the exact same resources, would make them wonder if things would be better if they disappeared and let the entity remain forever. And a thought like the hurts. Also side note it would be a good moment if Susie tries to do a "Kris your my friend " moment and Kris counters that she hadn't made friends with them they had made friends with the entity Kriss had just been along for the ride. Followed by someone mentioning the moments that Kris themselves had done stuff not the entity, like jumping in front of Kings attack.

@@iscreamanimation They don't really look like a he to be honest, they have long hair and look generally androgynous, even if you see them as more masculine. But no matter how you see Kris, their pronouns are still they/them, like, it's canon and not up for debate.

@@iscreamanimation the majority of the fandom says they’re non-binary, actually. i’ve seen that way more. it’s a headcanon, but it’s more likely than Kris being a boy, since they use they/them pronouns for the whole game. with Frisk you can make the argument that no one in the underground knows their gender, but Kris’s *mother* uses they/them for them.
