The snack king returns! In today's video I tried a bunch of snacks from Italy. I honestly went into this video with pretty high expectations considering how good Italian desserts are and... you'll have to watch the video to see what I thought :) But one thing's for sure. By the end of the video I ate too much sugar and felt tired. Enjoy!

As an Italian I wanna explain some things for you and those who might be interested😂(warning, it's long, but you can read about the snack you're interested in) - Cipsters (pronounced chipsters): it's a snack I used to eat during morning break at school, I recommend them for people who love crispy texture, but don't wanna be flooded with flavor, because they're light, but still tasty. - Bucaneve (pronounced boo-kah-neh-veh...you were spot on): it's not my favorite, but it's good if you like sugary biscuits. It's really sweet and it's definitely better with milk. - Golia (pronounced the way you did👍🏼): it's a gummy candy that gets stuck to your teeth easily. It's liquorice, but has a hint of mint. - Pan di Stelle (you pronouciation was perfect): it's more like a brand, rather than an actual snack, because they are most famous as buscuits, but there are multiple forms. Their flavor is sweet but has that stronger pure cocoa kick to it and they have little stars on them. This one is different, as it is filled with milk and white chocolate. - Fruitella (again, perfect pronounciation) you described it in the best way. It's soft, but a bit harder then a marshmallow and almost tastes like one (with strawberry). - Baiocchi al pistacchio (great pronounciation. Just to inform, in Italian, pistacchio is peace-tah- kyo): they're good, but sometimes they just taste like cream. I think there's not enough pistacchio flavor and I'm pretty sure it is a marketing strategy, because the brand (Mulino Bianco) is one of the most renowned in Italy and people will still buy them. Not their best product, but the classic with chocolate is great. - Raffaello (rah-fah-hello): you described it perfectly. It's coconut covered wafer and when you bite on it, it's an explosion of white chocolate, it basically melts in your mouth and then you get the crunchy nut. It's also one of my favorite childhood snacks, very similar to Kinder Bueno, if some of you have ever tried it. - Galatine (perfect pronunciation): they were my childhood candies, so I'm very biased. They have a milky flavor and they are powdery as you said. Their taste is delicate, but I can see how some people wouldn't like them, it's not a taste you get everyday. - Vincenzovo (which is the name of the brand, pronounciation👍🏼): are called in Italian "savoiardi" and they're what we mostly use to make Tiramisù, they're a bit dry because they absorb dark coffee easily and sweeten its flavor. They're really delicate though, even if we're not used to eat them just like that. - Goleador gummies: ...what can I say? Just the dream of every Italian kid (based on my childhood, me being in my 20s) and every gummy/sour candy lover. - Ritz: Just to mention, the brand isn't Italian, but we love them and what you read was "100% grano italiano", which means 100% Italian grain. They are VERY soft. - Pavesini (you said it perfectly): it's one of the most famous Italian snacks, they're sweet and crunchy, have an undertone of honey, but doesn't even taste like honey at the same time. They melt in your mouth if you suck on them. They're good dipped in everything. - Tic Tac: they're a Ferrero product, probably called like that because they're tiny and crunchy. I never tasted Sprite flavored ones, usually mint, strawberry and orange, so this was me learning from you😂 - Kinder Joy is also a very close to the heart childhood snack. A lot of Kinder snacks have little surprises in them and this one always comes with half sweet and half surprise. That looked super weird and it's probably because it came all the way there from here and melted. It usually looks like a yin yang situation, in which one side is white chocolate and the other is a Nutellish flavor. There are two crispy wafer balls inside and they're also filled with chocolate. It's recommended to not eat it all at once, because it's sweet, or maybe it's just me😂

12:24 I have yet to see a foreigner appreciate Galatine, which is strange because all Italians including me seem to love them haha. It's not something we would go out of our way to buy, but in our childhood they were always found somewhere, whether at a relative's house or at school, and they were so good lol. I remember liking the chocolate ones too.

Vincenzovo are "Savoiardi" cookies. But the original version is not industrial, they can be obtained in "pasticcerie" (pastry shops) and those are not so dry. I suspect that those industrial Savoiardi biscuits, and related dryness, are adapted for with homemade tiramisu making. I think not many people eat them as they are.

Biscuits are for dipping. You had the very right idea having Bucaneve with milk, but in order to appreciate it you need to soak it in milk. Then you have a proper snack 🥰 Except for savoiardi (the Vinenzovo in your case), they're just for tiramisù. I mean, nothing forbids you to enjoy them as they are, but we don't see them as a snack at all, they're not meant to be eaten like that, really. They're purpose is to be dipped in coffee and make the odd layers in tiramisù. And I've never heard of Frizzy Pazzy 🤔But, man, where are the BACI???? Perugina for the win!

Make as many as you can (i cannot stop eating them lol), you can put them in the fridge to cool and thats it! Super yummy :D

Really agree with your fun analysis. Just a quick hint: Pavesini are ok even without dipping them. Consumed in that way are a lighter snack, and they are marketed for that. For the Galatine, instead... I get they are unusual and are not for everyone. Even here in Italy they strongly divide people. It's like love them or hate them. It's a super simple candy (generally, simplicity works in Italy) that reminds us of our childhood.

The video was very funny!😄 • The "Cipsters" are like a dЯug🤤 • The "Baiocchi" (the original) are much better. 😁 • The "Galatine" it's not nice, you’re absolutely right...🤐 • Ah… the "Savoiardi" we use them only for Tiramisù.😋 • You don’t have to chew the "Golia", you have to suck them or they will remain forever attached to your teeth! Ahah🤣 • Of the "Kinder Joy" there is the winter version, "Kinder Sorpresa", but it does not have the crunchy balls.🤩 Next time you should try: "Tronky", "Kinder Cereali", "Duplo", "Happy Hippo".🤤 Since you like pistacchio, you have to taste "Crema di pistacchio" (nutella-like).😏

This was great! I always enjoy your snack videos. We have very similar tastes, you and I, except I'm hypoglycemic and if I ate all those snacks I wouldn't just be tired and cranky, I'd probably be in a coma. I've been trying to think what sort of uniquely Canadian snacks I could send you, but I could only come up with Smarties, ketchup potato chips, and butter tarts. You would LOVE butter tarts. Cheers from Canada!

Perth thanks for the highly enjoyable, entertaining and honest snack videos , your recommendations make me want to go and find these things and try them out for myself !! Also as a 'Northerner ' (UK) I just want to say you've nailed the accent, !!! (" I luv me sweets,i luv me chocklit, and I luv me cream......it's a bootiful snack " ) ....I'm available to coach you on the accent if there's ever a role comes up in the future for a Thai with a northern UK accent !!!!!!!🤣🤣🤭🤭😂😂😂.... Seriously though keep up the great work "luv"" 😘😘🖤🖤💕xx

Oh boy... you've summoned the whole country... I agree with most of your gradings NGL, there are other flavours of Goleador too if you ever try them lol. Idek why this video was recommended to me? Cuz it's not my usual style of content, but I'll gladly take it and appreciate the grading sir. Also the story about the old lady was so adorable ngl-

Another great taste video. I appriciate your honesty without being rude. I had a feeling with the White milky pastels, that it looked like something when you bite into it, it would be powdery and maybe taste a bit too artificial, and those pistaccio cookies kinda looked like an okay type of butter biscuit but they wouldnt have much flavor to the filling, so I'm not surprised with your review of them. Rafaello is really nice, if you like coconut and White chocolat, but I can understand, if some people can't eat as many of them, before it might get a bit too sweet. Yes coffee would be appropriate for those Ladyfingers, since you soak them in coffee for tiramisu. 😆

Lol, when you put Golia in your mouth I was like “oh man, you don’t know that it will get stuck, do you??” Thanks for the love, your pronunciation is actually not bad at all!! The thing about the ferrero egg, it’s for summer version of the standard ferrero egg, they invented it because the eggs used to totally melt in summer

funny details about the name of some of these snacks: "bucaneve" it's the name of a flower, in English it's snowdrop, if you look for it on internet you will find it, it's a white and very beautiful small flower, it usually bloom at the end of February and very often even with snow, sometimes even pops out from it (that's where the Italian name came from since it mean something like popping from snow) "baiocchi" instead it's the name of an Italian old money from the 15th century, the shape it's supposed to remind you of that (also the one with hazelnut cream, that are the original ones, are sooo much better) "galatine" instead, are a very "vintage" snack since they're around since the 50', the name came from "galactosio" that it's the italian translation of galactose, wich it's contained inside the sweets

Hey friend! Italian dude here. Glad you enjoyed some of our finest packed stuff, although there's something missing: Fonzies. Please try to acquire some of them and enjoy, you'll thank me later :D A few things: 1) our snacks tend to be of high quality and (relatively) healthy, because we have very strict regulations on food safety, lots of things that you can eat in anglo-saxon countries are outright banned here. Also, health inspectors are unforgiving, you just can't cheat your way out of it. 2) some of the "snacks" are actually more of a breakfast thing, they're rarely used for snacking. We have the habit of having breakfasts made of pastries or sweet cookies dipped in warm milk (or milk and coffee, or milk and chocolate, depends on personal taste), and that's how you will enjoy them to the fullest. Warm your milk (DO NOT BOIL IT!), then dip the cookie for a few seconds, then eat. You will have to get the timing right, because if you dip it too much it will soften too much and crumble into your glass milk, a few failed attempts might be necessary. 3) some of our biscuits with cream, or chocolate snacks, might partially melt if they take heat. That's because palm oil is not normally used here, we either use butter (for the high-end stuff) or sunflower seed oil. By consequence, the product does not stay solid for too long under eat. To fix the problem, put them in a fridge for a pair of hours before eating.

goleador(s) are the king of candy. they're everywhere in Italy and no matter your age, when you see them you're gonna buy 5 or 6 of them cause they only cost 10 cents and are so chewy they'll last a while. and obviously they taste good as hell too

Something i haven't seen mentioned yet...biscotti (biscuits, cookies, whatever you like to call them) like Bucaneve or Pan di Stelle are usually eaten dipped in tea or milk (as he did) or coffee mostly in the morning for breakfast, which for people from Usa especially may seem a bit strange, because here in Italy we consider them more like a part of a proper meal (we don't have big savory breakfast usually)than a snack.
