Actually a pretty neat game and I've never even watched battlestar galactica. Pyrion's "resistance has been crushed" did me a laugh.

The only major thing that this game and TTT have in common is the idea of having a hidden identity and a traitor. There are loads of other board games that do the same thing: Resistance, Shadows over Camelot, Dead of Winter, Betrayal at House on the Hill, and probably some other I can't think of.

@@EightThreeEight betrayalAHONTH is arguable whether it truly fits the category as you are never actually functioning as a hidden traitor you just openly become it part way through the game and even in the lore of the game only some of the haunts have you having been secretly evil and lot you get controlled or killed and become evil at that point half way through

Ya, usually Baltar is an almost instant Brig in most games. He'll have 3 of the 11 cards by the end. 3 chances to get 2 cards when there's only 11 cards in play. Fairly high chance of Cylonery.

Ben (Edgar) never actually says that you do. He just very strongly suggests it and persuades Pyrion to sacrifice the nuke rather than taking a relatively minor penalty. In other words, Ben = Cylon = Confirmed! :)

if you like the game you guys should try Twilight Imperium next. amazing game, takes a while to learn though. very big game. very fun though.i would recomend playing with the expansion though as it fixes an issue with the original.

side note: iirc you're not supposed to reveal the values or colors of the cards you intend to play in a crisis (they do this at the start). That's so no one can be sure if they will pass the check or not.

By the way there is a rule you are not allowed to use numbers during crisis checks. You can only say "I will help alot" "I won't help much" "I can't help". I understand you are new and you have fun with it so I don't mind just wanted to say it :D Also will you be doing the expansion boards? :D

Well it basically doesn't matter unless the action results in something that changes your movement choice. In Tom's case I think it didn't matter... But they are ignoring several other things as well - move then action and not saying EXACTLY how much you can contribute to skill check being the main things...
