My Grandma was born in Sheffield in 1892, and could have been in some of these photos; as a child I remember listening to her for hours talking about her life; I was intrigued.

Thanks for sharing these. Very nostalgic. I no longer live in Sheffield. I left in the 1980s but a lot of my family are still living there and I go back every few months to see my mother and my sister.

I am living overseas still, but love your Sheffield videos. So many great memories.

I was born in the Jessop Hospital in 1947, and was around Sheffields until 1973. I greatly enjoy these images. At 2.01 there is a time slip. A modern car ( Ford Ka?) has appeared between us and the tram. You must Be magicians. 😀

My Brother was born in Jessop Hospital too, in 1944. I send him these nostalgic pics and he enjoys them as much as I do.

Nice work on this video thanks, loved the picture of moor with a traction engine in it and it's sweet to think it would still be welcome in the town centre as clean air exempt

Excellent compilation. Being born in the '50's I remember some of those images as they were.

Awesome guys , in the 50s as a treat after a movie @ I believe the Lysium we were treated to a bag of roast chestnuts . Life seemed to be less involved as a kid I guess. 🇨🇦 71+ expat Thanks

Good to see the number 33 bus in the last photo. The terminus was on Blackstock Road on the Gleadless Valley estate.

Amazing that some of the old buildings are still in situ after all this time and look the same, wonder how many ghosts walk amongst the Sheffield people today ???

The last image of the 33 bus is taken from Barnsley road, opposite the junction with Norwood road, where I lived as a child. In the distance on the right is 'The Sportsman' pub.
