Tomo, I immensely love your teaching style and all your lessons are brilliant. My favourite part of many of your lessons is level 3, where you just let go and rip it up and down the fretboard. I'm not sure how many other celebrity guitar heroes would be able to pull off such stunts? And while doing it, you keep talking and not even looking at the fretboard! That's genius level, my dear friend :)

@@TomoFujitaMusic Thank you Tomo, you are very generous. May I send a request? I've been watching some famous guitar players and noticing that every now and then they tend to throw in a quote in the middle of their solo. Like, suddenly they'd throw in a snippet of a famous melody (The Godfather Theme or Breezin' or something like that; Santana is great for doing that). Could you teach us how to master that trick? It is very effective, as it makes everyone's ears perk up. I think it adds a lot of spice and juice to the solo, wouldn't you agree? I know it's not something that is easily teachable, but maybe you have a method for mastering that skill? Thank you again for your kind heart.

Wow! Amazing. Hi can you make a tutorial video of how to use chords you played at 8:55. I love those chords and wanted to use them in my everyday playing.

Hi Tomo! I was just wondering how you choose what inversions to use for the triad section of this. Is it just what's convenient, or are you thinking about voice leading in some way? Thanks Tomo! I will be subscribing to guitar wisdom soon!

Try a few different ways, a few choices. But keep this in your mind "always very musical!" Maybe play Do Re Mi of each chord and play two invasions with very rhythmic way. Definitely voice leading, sub melody type idea. More details and specific practice ideas are at my Guitar Wisdom. Thank you!

You use a Flat 7 on C7 because that would be Phrygian relative to the key and D has a major 7 because it's Lydian relative to the key which is Fm Aeolian which gets a flat 3, 6 and 7. So you could play a Fm7 too because aeolin get flat 3, 6, 7. Ab would get a maj7 because that's major and E could get an E7 because that's mixolydian. C major is a parallel chord substitution.

I think you are too smart to think music! First just sound then analyze with basic theory. More about harmony! Just key of Fm (basic idea) then DbM7 is very unique!
@averyamadeusjacobson26504 жыл бұрын
@@TomoFujitaMusic the basic idea of Fm is that it is defined by it's tonic, sharps and flats.

@@TomoFujitaMusic I see, a key has a tonal center and when you modulate you are changing the tonal center and you can change key without knowing it.
@averyamadeusjacobson26504 жыл бұрын
@@TomoFujitaMusic so what I was trying to figure out is the progression of the of 7th chords and it goes maj, minor, minor, major dominant, minor minor 7 flat 5 and maj 7 like I thought.
