Hello Tomo, when you improvise what do you think about. do you think about scales, triads or arpeggios... when I improvise I think about scales, I can see the root, third, fifth and seventh (all intervals) but I can't see the closed triads... I can see triads closed when I play rhythm guitar but when improvised I only see scales and intervals.

The great thing about Tomo is that he teaches you not like he's some cool prodigy that goes to Berklee, but as your really sweet friend who knows a ton about a subject that most people aren't interested in learning like math and just tells you because he thinks it's super cool and thinks you'll be into it. I have a friend like that that helps me with calc and we just solve random problems together for no reason. Most wholesome thing I could ever ask for lmao.

prs guitars are honestly on another level, i always thought that no guitar would look better than a les paul or a strat body shape and their color ways, but prs proved that their guitars look much better than either of those

And you speak love Tomo. I need to work on those arpeggios. I like to have target notes. I know if I am playing Bm I have the 2nd inversion of A on 9 or first on 5. Even if I just listen with my ear and not think about it at all you have to land on one of the notes of the triad or else it doesn't sound right. Your guitar wisdom class made me look up passing tones the other day. I think I remember Rick Beato saying 1 and 5 or strongest notes of triad and 3rd is weakest but I could be wrong and it's the 5th that's weakest which would make the most sense to me because the 3rd defines the maj/min.
