These guys are doing a great job with portraying themselves as normal people. It’s a breath of fresh air compared to most other found footage stories. Can’t wait to see the conclusion.

Except for the investigator/psychic part. Recording is a huge part of that stick so I was thrown off by the investigator/psychic claiming it was odd. There are dozens of shows that participate in this travesty and an item they claim you should always carry is a recording device of some (even multiple) sort. So why did he say that? Is there something that is going to happen later that pulls that comment in? Is HE up to something unruly and just doesn't want to be recorded?

If I were a paranormal investigator and came all the way out to someone's house only to have them tell me "the shower was on by itself and that's it," I'd be pissed. He didn't even describe it properly, didn't explain the towel falling on the floor by itself even though his camera picked it up, didn't explain that the faucet was on too. And why didn't he explain any of the other things that have happened? If he was spooked enough to call an investigator, surely he must've noticed the other things.

The 11th grade "psychic para-researcher" kinda kills the storyline, amirite? I mean, why not just show him the bathroom footage from the event in question? The only thing significant about the "paranormal researcher" clip is the glaring realization that without it the rest of the series is almost epically believable. In any regard, it's very well done. Like you pointed out in the beginning, the interaction between the characters without anyone playing to the camera or the viewing audience seems very genuine. By today's standards that aspect alone is an anachronism which will never be portrayed or revived to this level of authenticity for those of us old enough to spot it.

Man, this is what I like in a webseries. Normally, I'm able to watch the whole thing without pausing the video because I need a few breathers but this series is making me pause more times than I can count, and I'm only on 12:28. Everything feels so natural its legitimately freaking me out. It's got such an eerie vibe that really makes you feel it. Kudos to the creators! Even if this webseries is nearly as old as I am.

I like the amount of background anomalies that the cameraman don’t react to, it adds something when the don’t react to every little thing. Like the smoke cloud that appear and then disappears at 10:27.

It's at least partially the shirt. Clearly like his dad's or from a school uniform; it's way too big/baggy, it was not at all ironed (you can literally see it was folded before wearing it with how it sits), and he was wearing it incorrectly (which is fair because white collar shirts that go with suits like the one he's wearing are hella uncomfy). He either should have fully committed and gotten a shirt that fits and worn properly (you can make one fit if you're OK altering it permanently), or gone with maybe a polo and maybe a custom "company logo" to place on the chest, or gone with some other shirt.

I really like this series, aside from the paranormal stuff, the whole "cult in the woods" thing hits close to home. As someone from the south, I have heard a LOT of stories from hunters/hikers/ and campers that just make watching this feel a little more real.

The lights look like military issue flashlights. In bootcamp they gave us thin plastic inserts in green, blue and red. Typically in the field, they want you to rock red, since the light doesn't travel as far and is less likely to give away your position. Edit: Should say red light is supposed to be less visible to the naked eye at distant than other colors/wavelengths, not that the light itself doesn't travel.

Oh this is good! I’m with you on how natural the character interactions feel, you get the sense that these people really have known each other most of their lives. Aside from some predictable jump scares, and the hokey cult bible, I think it’ll shape up to be interesting. Looking forward to part 2!
