Thank you for the thorough video brother. I was able to successfully replace my titanium hybrid 2018 spark plugs today. It was my first time and it took me 4 hours total. Appreciate your knowledge sharing and may YHWH bless you!!!

This helped me so much. I have 139000 miles on mine and my mechanic never changed the plugs. So this allowed me to do it on my own. Thank you!

I have been experiencing lower mpg lately, 100K mileage. Was averaging 45+. Now barely getting 38-39. Any suggestions? Having plugs changed today.
@connorgeezil3714 Жыл бұрын
That's the exact same thing going on with mine! 2019 with 105k did changing the plugs help your mpg?
@steveg1667 Жыл бұрын
Could be air filter or did you change tires? I bought some Michelin Crossclimate tires which are awesome in rain and snow but because of aggressive tread I lost MPH.
@cbenway83 Жыл бұрын
The spark plugs changed nothing. I am using the same tires as before. The mileage isn't bad, 41-42, but it's down from the 45-47 I was getting prior to 100k miles. I am wondering if this is battery age or programmed decline. Also, I am now hearing a loud roar when going uphill for a prolonged time while on cruise. Related?
@TheRicsser11 ай бұрын
@@cbenway83had similar issue, battery replacement helps a lot.
@cbenway8311 ай бұрын
The price of the batteries would deter me from doing that. A mere 5 mpg reduction does not warrant that expenditure! Besides, s deer collected my Fusion back in September and my insurance company determined it a total loss! I paid off my wife's car with the settlement and I am now the proud owner of a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited! I wanted more cargo capacity.@@TheRicsser

Check the gap on your spark plugs if you didn’t, had that happen to my friend and readjusting the gap helped.

I'm not jimmy but that's a 2.0l Atkinson cycle 4 cylinder, coupled to a AC Synchronous motor that itself puts out 118 hp

You’d figure Ford, who’s been designing and manufacturing cars for over 100 years would’ve made the belly pan more serviceable for oil changes. My 2015 Chrysler 200 has flip down access doors for oil drain and filter with quarter turn latches.
@justhes4 жыл бұрын
Robert Sherrod right? I’ve thought about modifying my belly pan so I don’t have to remove it.

@damiandelaiglesia1927 Жыл бұрын
Never put antiseize on the spark plug unless indicated by a manufacturer. I doubt you will find a manufacturer that would require it. Tell-tell sign is that the original plug you just removed didn't show to have antiseize residue. Always clean and inspect the spark plug tube for debri before installing a new plug. Use a vacuum cleaner to suck out any debri left in there. The torque on the spark plug seems to be 106 in/lbs (8.83 ft/lbs or 12 Nm). That is for dry threads. If you add antiseize, it changes the torque value. Buy a torque wrench and learn how to use it.
@MrBababuwi Жыл бұрын
What you have said is very valuable information than actually changing spark plugs.
@beammeupscottsp79525 ай бұрын
Nah I always anti-seized after fighting the plugs to come out especially those who leave it in over 100k before changing. Never had an issue, way easier to take out also.

I have a 2013 fusion energi 160k miles... super cheap car to drive, taxes are like $120 a year, haven't had any mechanical issues so far.... Just replaced all the brake pads and rotors, they didn't look bad at all the front brake pads still had plenty of life left in the when I replaced them and I know for a fact they had at least 130k miles on them. The rear pads were thinner though and should be replaced sooner than the front.
