This movie and Crisis both show that the Justice League is its own worst enemy, far worse than the Legion or Darkseid. Batman had such a valid point in Doom that was reinforced in Crisis: What if the JL went bad? Doom is how to stop them. Crisis is what could happen if you didn't. The disturbing part is that Batman strategized how to defeat the entire JL (quite effectively) and claimed the JL was the only way to stop HIM, and his alternate version (Owlman) is responsible for almost wiping every Earth from existence, so both movies clearly show that Batman/Owlman is the most dangerous member of the JL in ANY universe. Both movies = awesome, and fitting that they used the same (or very similar) epic theme songs for such epic stories. Just hearing this theme, you know some serious shit is about to go down, so sit down, shut up, and hang on!

Injustice and the Justice Lords in JL/JLU are good examples of how the League's greatest threat is itself. But the Crime Syndicate was never good in the first place and aside from Ultraman and a handful of others, most of them aren't simply alternate Earth counterparts of the Justice Leaguers. Owlman is Thomas Wayne Jr, whose parents were so abusive he hired a hit man to kill them before realizing the hit man also killed the only person he truly cared about, his little brother Bruce. Superwoman isn't Wonder Woman's counterpart, she's Lois Lane with the powers of Mary Marvel. Johnny Quick has a good guy counterpart from Earth 2 and New Earth who goes by the same name and used to be a part of the Justice Society.

It's based on the Tower of Babel. All they had to do was switch out Ra's al Ghul for the Legion of Doom, make the plot a thousand times weaker and the movie was ready. Though I did enjoy this movie.
