Whats made Canada a great country is not the fact that it is a racially diverse country or a multilingual country or an lgbt friendly country......what's made Canada great is its Anglo political tradition of representative democracy, rule of law, guaranteed liberties, checks and balances and capitalism, which has allowed for the latter examples. We can sit around and only focus on the faults of that tradition while failing to come up with any functioning alternatives and dream about how innocent and prosperous the Natives were before "the evil white people" showed up. But the reality is that Canada, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain and the rest of western civilization owes its greatness to our INSTITUTIONS! Pretty much everything that makes Canada distinct from a Native American tribe. Im sure Native Americans have a different way of approaching life, im sure they might even have alot to offer in terms of personal or spiritual insights, im sure they have interestings foods and music that we can all enjoy but lets cut the B.S pls. Canada is great because of our INSTITUTIONS and we should not feel guilty about that!
