I completely disagree. In the place where they're playing, there is nothing weird at all about shit. In fact, shit is one of the two most normal things to be there. Music, though, music is abnormal in that setting - unless it sounds like a percussionist's wind chimes, or a beginner on the tuba. And these guys don't.
@MarcosElMalo22 жыл бұрын
@@Baribrotzer There is nothing weird about shit. Shit is about as normal as it gets, like breathing, eating, sleeping, drinking water. People who say they don’t give a shit are announcing an intention to die. Let’s hope they change their mind before it’s too late. But I digress. I think it’s fine to call something interesting which has triggered your enthusiasm “weird shit”. But “weird as shit” is just a bad simile. You might as well say something is “weird as the sun rising in the east every morning” or anything else that happens with regularity. We either need a new comparison, or we need to augment the simile. If you don’t mind, I’ll take a whack at it. “Something something weird as shit AFTER I ate and digested a beet, corn, and cyanobacteria casserole.” (I’ve never actually done this-eat a casserole of beets, corn, and cyanobacteria-but I’ll bet money that the resulting shit is weird, especially if you eat the entire casserole.)

Clown Core is an amazing gem. It is 100% Louis Cole, his sister has a blog and she spilled the beans. Here is the copy paste: 12.05.2008 Louis Is A Senior! My dear, sweet, tall brother, Louis turned 22 yesterday. And to celebrate, USC's Thornton School of Music held their jazz program's Honors Combo recital. Unfortunately, because I work all the time, I couldn't be there (please don't judge me). But, Good Ol' Reliable Father brought his mp3 recorder, and sent me a tune. It's entitled "When Was the Last Time." Louis wrote the music and lyrics, and played drums. It features Cassie Peterson on Vocals, Adam Bravo on piano, Hans Bernhard on bass, and Sam Gendel and Doug Mosher on horns. I was really impressed-- It's a great tune. It is certainly quite a contrast to Clown Core, which, if you don't already know, is also a Louis creation. I love my brother's musical schizophrenia.

Then I stumbled across Moonchild, and thus Knower. They're part of the same geographical stable of young guys showing the world that they are brilliant. I saw Knower in Manchester two years ago, and they were brilliant. Then the following year watched Louis Cole do a 90 minute show on his own. Absolutely staggeringly brilliant. And now, just when you think they cannot do anything more wild.....ClownCore comes along and wow, I'm a fan of all these young guys doing what they do. I personally think it's Moon hooch. Their drummer has a very unique style of drumming and posture I have never seen. This drummer totally is the same and its close enough to their style they could totally play this.
