Hey Justin, the difference between the G-Lynx and the Lynx is that the G-Lynx has a better engine which was added so it could break the helicopter speed record. The 'G' is the UK's Civil Aviation Code as the aircraft was civilly registered with Leonardo (Formerly AgustaWestland) but technically it could use the same armament as the Military Lynx.

@@monkesoldier3002 It got the main rotor blades and the tail boom of the Westland 30. Usually the "normal" Lynx got them too in a later refit (they're called BERP rotor if i remember correctly). We just get an early Lynx ingame, something before the Lynx AH.7 according to my interpretation of wikipedia.

On release it also had a fixed loadout that couldn't be customised. The customisation of loadouts was a recent addition in the past year for it.

The Chally Mk.2 has certianly grown on me recently especially with how common premium Leopard's and T-72's are. The Turret armour is decent enough, the forward mobility is ok, but the great firepower, reverse speed and especially the 10.0 BR compared to the 10.3 most of its contemporaries sit at really make it a dream to play. Worth a revisit imho.

i normally do 10.3, much better cuz u also got vickers mk7, stormer hvm, jaguar gr.1a and my main 10.0 mbt, the TTD, works flawleslly, and if i feel like doing speedy stuff, just put the rooikat 105 in the lineup ( would put mttd if it had dm33/dm63 )

Look at the Mangusta (10.0 Italian helicopter). 8x Hellfires (like the G-LYNX), chin-mounted gun, and 4x Mistrals (not ATAS) for slightly worse maneuverability and top speed.

I was refering to helicopters but I think the issue people have with 2s38 is that it's a GE premium. I think Swedish light tanks are far more destructive, faster and more generally mobile. They are however all in the tech tree, none being premium and spammed hard.@@TheRealShangajac

I still use the GLYNX in my 11.7 lineup and still get a ton of kills with it. At 10.0 might be a bit abusive, but britain is the underdog in most of the rest of areas so whatever. Also, the correct way to use the locking system is to lock 2 times so it lets you track the vehicle while also change the impact point so you can aim for ammo racks or center mass, specially necessary to 1 hit most of russian tanks. in this way I can get 8 kills out of 8 missiles most of the time.

I’ve been irregularly attempting to use the tech tree one. I grinded extremely hard for it, through both of the boring 8.3 helis. I did that so I could play with a friend who purchased the G-LYNX. As soon as I made it there, he stopped playing it and switched nations lol. I’m currently stock, and the stock loadouts at 10.0 with no rocket computer are extremely underwhelming.

You're forgetting the fact that the Tiger also has Hellfire 2's compared to the G-Lynx's normal hellfires. The hellfire 2's are quite a bit more reliable from my own experiences and like to overpressure more due to an extra 1.4 KG of TNT.

It wont matter if Gaijin gives backups to event vehicles, most people just rush in, die without doing jack, and bail. Whenever i see the event ground nation in my team i wait a few seconds to spawn to count how many of those are spawning, most of the time i just bail the battle without even spawning, i dont want to deal with the frustration of 1 spawners who dont contribute at all in a team game. On the other subject, i got the FlakRak PZ1 with Roland missiles and somehow managed to unlock the Roland 3 missiles, those Rolands and other similar missiles are practically unusable after the missile guidance "rework" patch a few weeks ago, so i ditched it and went back to the Gepard 1A2 (keep in mind this SPAA is 8 months deep on a bug wich causes it to not be able to equip the K proxi variant of the Stingers, so its stuck with the stock E contact variant). CAS is strongly uncontested because of the latest game mechanic modifications and the 6+ km Guided bombs, specially above 9.7 BR. Not to mention the reduced lock on range on helis (up to 3 km in best case scenario, and in worse case you cant even lock within 2 km range). Its just not worth to respawn with so many uncontested air threats in the session.

the reason they are 10.0 is becuse of terrible optics and hellfire Bs being situational in certain maps unlike atakas. Also, hellfire Bs aren't tandem unlike 11.0 Ks so damage can be a bit wonky at times.

I'm an ex-AH-64D pilot and play far too much war thunder and retreating blade stalls (going too fast in a helicopter causing a dissymmetry of lift on the rotor system) actually results in a pitch up and usually to the left and is therefore self correcting. In war thunder for some reason it results in you pitching down and usually crashing at low alt, it's annoying, particularly in the G-lynx where it happens too early

Lynx is the equivalent of a UHIY... light armour, light manoeuvrability and cant multitask in actual engagement, So it should not be compared to traditional attack choppers and should be compared to late UH1Y's, Also it's Hellfire's are not the later variants. The Tiger can multitask, is more manoeuvrable, has a bit more armour and it's TOWS are the later variants, also it has gimbled Guns. Also if there is no appeal to Helicopters... no Brit or UK tree user will bother grinding them... let alone using them... just like real life. Hence why you never see tech tree users... the grind is boring and the rewards are meh, 99% of UK tree users have not bothered going past the first heli, hence why gaijin has allowed ground research to be used, because the users would bother with ground, air and sea before heli's. Britain hardly used/uses Attack choppers IRL and used CAS Harriers instead until after 2000... even then UK would use fast CAS over a Heli.

If you look at the event vehicles after they are modified, by the coupon that lets you sell them, it says you also get backups for them. Might be they do or it might be a bug, I haven't consumed mine since I might sell them.

@@JustinPlaysTV when i fly my z-10 i find it’s usually worth it. usually i try to climb up, get as many kills as possible, then dive and re arm. having missiles up in the air is helpful if someone spawns a sam and you want to try to “missile joust” them so to speak, since you can duck behind cover while the hell fire is still going towards the target, and re lock once the timer gets to like 5-7 seconds. when it comes to tanks with lws i’d also recommend putting the laser right next to their tank and then putting it on target right before the missile hits the ground, so they have no time to react.

Challenger has a 3 shell ready rack and takes almost 2 minutes to refill, after the first 3 shots it has the same reload as Leo 2a4 but is far slower

They have fixed the grind but the balance is still SOOO broken that I get like 90% WR playing Russia and 10% playing UK or Germany, it's clearly broken.
