We garden. I process much of it. I sometimes think after i take 7 qts of whatever out of the canner, "was that worth it". But mid winter, eating all that goodness and all the work behind me, yes, it is worth it vs. buying it at Walmart! Great videos! Ty.

We in Indiana use to always stay on the same time, it was wonderful! Half the year we were on the same time as EST and half the year same as Central, but we didn't change. Mitch Daniels changed our law. He was a good Governor, but this is one thing I wish he had where the sun doesn't shine! Loved the Proposal, Congratulations & Blessings to the Happy Couple.

One thing for sure is the more, the merrier! I find work goes by quickly when you have several people to help. And sometimes it doesn’t even feel like work, but more like fellowship. When my parents built their home, extended family came and helped. And in turn when one of my relatives was building their home, we went to help. It shows how when you give of yourself, it will come back to you in blessings.

This is cute! That was so precious! She was very happy! It was great to witness. That was good to see and it was cute he brought up that it was done at the "Fancy Shaw." They will have a great story of marriage proposal in a chicken run at the Rhodes' farm! Kiss the cabbage! Thanks Farmer's Friend for sending the Rhodes family the wonderful weed barriers with the holes already put in! Yay, garlic planted and mulched! Silage tarp to cover the new garden beds. A proposal in a chicken run! Some men would never live that down but I think she was absolutely thrilled and I thought it was the sweetest thing ever. I love how those volunteers come to the farm ready to work, applying what they know and learning what they didn't know. Rebekah, I agree with you, we should not go back to DST.

There's a bill in Congress to make DST permanent and it's a terrible idea. It was actually tried in the '70s and they had to change it back because kids were going to school in the dark (among other things).
