Aww! Thank you, If You was & is my favourite JK cover. He ate & left no crumbs. This was his rendition on The Mask Singer & believe me he lost there. Seriously I don't understand till date. Cause it was a mind-blowing performance. BigBang is nowhere near to JK's cover. I heard the original, sorry this was incredible. Jungkook went to the show only for 1 episode as a guest appearance. It was at a time when BTS were praised for strong rapline but not for vocals. Back then BTS hadn't released that many vocal focused songs and were more of a hip hop centric group. JK had said he went to that show to prove everyone that BTS's vocals are great too.

So.. Lost Stars I had never heard of anyone in BTS and I had no idea who Jungkook was. Lost stars is a song off the soundtrack for the movie Begin Again which does star Adam Levine and Keira Knightley - she gifts Adam Levine, her boyfriend in the movie, this song, as she is a very good songwriter in the movie and then he takes it and makes it into some arena rock song, which makes it all too clear to her that he doesn’t cherish the whole reason why she gave him this song, it’s amazing movie if you love music, you will adore this movie. I think I started listening to this song in about 2014-15 - the movie came out in 2013 and I don’t really know off the top of my head when Jungkook put this on SoundCloud but I found it while I was looking for covers of songs that I love I found this and I was like who is Jungkook, he’s really good! I do remember looking him up to see who he was and I just thought maybe this was some kid just throwing a song out on SoundCloud and I don’t think back then when I looked it up, he was such a big deal yet so it just said I that he was a South Korean singer and that was it. Then four or five years later in 2019 I finally discovered BTS after seeing them on Saturday night live and I was like oh that’s the kid that sang lost stars and I had put him on my favorites playlist back then so I listened to it a lot before I knew who he was. It was fate!
