Been watching the channel for awhile, and just wanted to say that me and a lot of others do enjoy the content you make. It is easy to say you are not probably are not in the best of places mentally, and taking your time with this project is the best thing you can do. Creating something as large as this project when not too many others are doing it, is probably beyond stressful. Take some time for yourself man, you need it. BTW, your current work is great, and its a learning process, take care man.

I think the best option is to take it at a good pace and not pressure yourself. We don't need a new video on it all the time. As always I will continue to support you and your amazing content. I messed up quite badly on my own Mandalorian helmet but will be pairing it with an existing costume for Halloween to the point where it doesn't matter. By next year my goal is a full, custom armour set that I can proudly wear when I want armour instead of Jedi Robes. You are the one who has inspired me into all this and you are brilliant. This is the way!

I used to make armor with the 501st for years. After watching your inspirational tutorials and “how to’s” I have started up again. I am in the process of making about 4 of your helmets with a 3D printer and am super excited. Thank you for bringing all this content and showing us about 3D printing, I have learned so much from you. Take time for yourself we will be here.

I've been a silent watcher of this channel for the past few weeks and originally found it because I also started a mando build this year (back in Feb). Moving house plus COVID restrictions have prevented me from continuing with it, however watching your videos has provided a tremendous insight as to how I would approach the rest of my build, while also being my primary source of motivation for continuing the project! Your decision to take your hobby to the next level by pursuing it as a career is incredibly admirable, and it's something I too hope to achieve one day. Thank you for sharing your process and your journey so far!

We understand. Don't be stressed about the timeline you put on the project. Mental health is way more important. Plus I think you are spinning this in a great way by giving us videos of what you tried and what went wrong. Sometimes learning from mistakes is a great way to learn.

Building these things is not easy and you have been a huge help to me personally. I have the same problem of reaching for the perfection of a project when you probably have already gone way beyond what anyone else accepts as amazing. Keep doing what you are doing and feel good with what you have accomplished. This is the way!

You got this! I look forward to the lessons you have learned in the upcoming video. I have learned so much from you that it had inspired me back in July to get a 3D printer and work on a Deathtrooper build for my first 501st approval. I still have a lot to print, and yet so much to sand, prime, and paint. I feel for you, as I have to repeat steps to achieve to the level of satisfaction. It just seems endless but we will get there!

Take all the time you need. Even years if necessary. Personally, what I love the most about your work is the immense attention to details you put in all projects. Thank you for this video ... I've been feeling the same way about a lot of my builds and with my own mental health. Creating feels like the only thing I have control over right now and when it's not going my way I start to freak out thinking what is even the point? But we all do this for the love of the characters and the designs and some designs, like the Mando, are incredibly detailed. You're doing great and thanks for being open about how you're doing mentally, I hope things ease up and I'm excited to see the finish Mando whenever you get around to it. And like you said, his costume is probably going to change anyways LOL

I feel for you! I also set myself a deadline for Halloween (to only get half of the armor done and mounted for me). The deadline caused me to cut corners I wish I hadn't, so I'm already planning on needing to redo 4 out of the 7 armor pieces I'll wear this weekend. The good news, is that I've learned more in this last month about making than I had in the past couple years! I hope you're able to approach your next project with excitement and patience, and look forward to seeing what you've managed to make through the challenges mentioned! (And seeing all the upgrades you are planning on!)

I started printing from a long desire to, and your very friendly introduction and walkthrough videos. I also chose to start with Djarin and it’s been both painful and stressful. I’ve learned a lot and have come to just enjoy the ride and learn from my many, many mistakes. Watching this video reminds me of what I’ve gone through this month with the build. I knew I should’ve started with a Clone Trooper but I’ve always been a Mandalorian fan. Made me smile when you mentioned the difficulty between the Clones and Djarin lmao Thank you for everything you’ve done so far! Keep up the great work and I’ll continue to check in on your website and YT channel.

I’m so glad you posted this video ! I found your channel not so long ago, watched all your videos and found the motivation to tackle my own mando armour (my first set of 3D printed armour) ! However I have had exactly the same problems as you with the paint cracking and really put me off and made me wanna just give up on it but after seeing this it’s given me hope, and given me the courage to go back at it and finally managed to get the chest and Abb plate completed today! Keep up the great work !

Honesty and integrity are hard to find these days. I am glad you have loads of both. I love your content and your instructions and tutorials are immensely valuable. I always point new members of our local Mandalorian clan to your videos on how to do things. I (and I assume many more out there) would rather have an honest delay if it got us great content down the road. And showing that even people of your skill level have to sand and start over is huge because people like me and many foundlings out there see the amazing stuff that people put out and don't realize that they are really posting up try number 27. Plus not to mention you are starting a print farm while doing all of this. You are doing a great job! I can't wait till I can suit up and troop with you some day, it will be a great honor!

What I see is your drive to go forward, learning from what you feel are your mistakes. This video is real.... real is the quality of your character and morals. This video just solidified my view of you being a good man. When you offered to help me out with the mando helmet, that was awesome.... you didn't have to but you did. Just started watching your channel and you have been a great help. I jumped into this with no experience and just the sheer desire make a Mandalorian costume. I think I have spent as much time on KZbin as I have 3D printing. Learned to 3D print ( a challenge) then bought an air brush because because spray bombs just don't work in all situations and this has been a challenge too. I thought this was going to be a 6 month build, was wrong. Some time I just step back take a break and take some deep breaths. I know I got in over my head but that does not mean I cant dig my way out. This is the way!

I made a decent looking Vader costume years and years ago. It was an amalgam of all the different Vaders, but it was good enough that most people couldn't tell. It's the point of diminishing returns, so don't stress yourself out over things that won't matter in the long run. AND - the biggest lessons we learn are the ones we fail at. Don't beat yourself up, keep on keeping on, brother. Focus on what you got right, and what you need to change in the future. Looking forward to more.

I started making the same Mando costume in September also. I am just now gluing the helmet together because I had to print all my pieces in one small printer. I'm not going to have any of the leg armor done. I also will have to use silver spray paint to cover my armor because I have no spray-gun. I also got most of my undersuit parts from goodwill. I have no doubts that your armor will look fantastic regardless of how its painted. it will still looklook better than mine. :)

Hey GA, you are doing a great job! I know there will be lots of bumps in the road but you are in the right mind set, doing better a little everyday is all you can do. You are undertaking a monumentally difficult task, this requires a lot of talent, time, and dedication. You want as close to perfection as you can get, I completely understand. :) You will get there, if it is not your best work, we know you'll make it even better going forward. But you don't get any better without learning or making mistakes. You will gain a lot from this in knowledge, skill, and talent, just imagine what you will be able to accomplish when this is finished (clone commando armor with functioning vibro blades? :P ). We have complete faith in you, and don't beat yourself up, you are giving 110% effort, if that isn't enough for you, then take your time and keep going, we'll still be hear for you. Keep up the great work and self improvement. Don't give up man, I fully plan to purchase your designs and make a suit just like yours. I'm excited to see it. Honestly, if this isn't your best work, I can't imagine what it will look like when you feel it is! 0_O

I started the same project at the beginning of the month and had a similar experience with the armor with the cracking due to the chest plate snapping in half and having to be glued and sanded again. I also am not too keen on how the "chrome" finish came out on mine considering I was restricted to rattle cans. But im still happy that I did it and certain parts of it turned out really great in my opinion. I guess what Im trying to say is that you should still show what you have even if it isnt perfect because there are people out there who will still find it to be amazing. Don't beat yourself up to much about it because I know that what you produce will be 1000 times more accurate than what I have.

Hey bro, sounds like the paint cracking may be caused by one of the following- 1. Spraying acrylic-based paint over an enamel-based paint or vice versa 2. Putting the coats down too heavy (moving too slowly with the can or spraying too close to the workpiece) 3. Mixing brands of paint or not following the directions on the can. Some require you to do additional coats within 10 mins of each other, OR after 48 hours, for example. Need to check the can or contact manufacturer for support. 4. Spraying in high heat, or high humidity. Or too cool. Hope this helps with your painting in the future, I know the feels when your paint runs, cracks or gets contaminated, its so frustrating as you have just lost a lot of time and a bit of money too. Do some research on painting with rattle cans and techniques and read carefully before embarking, hope it saves you some headaches and you learn a lot in the process- thanks for your videos man, they're inspiring and I've learned a lot from you! Currently building a Mando helmet myself, all your clone helmets and the mando one really pushed me to get going. All the best and take care of yourself!!

Going through something similar right now, I’m making my mando costume out of cardboard and other houshold fabrics for my school school spirit day (tommorow) and Halloween but I feel like it won’t be done in time even I rush everything, things happens so fast that the days you think you have turn into hours but people like inspire me to do my best, best of luck to you and of course, This is the Way.

Hey bro, if you feel like the product isn’t to your standard don’t worry about putting something out you aren’t proud of! I’m sure we’d all rather see something you are really proud of instead of seeing a costume rushed for a release. The stuff you make is awesome regardless!

I feel like a broken record with all of these comments, but still. Your mental health is a #1 priority. As long as your happy with your content, we will be too.

I’m having similar issues, earlier today I was removing the masking tape from the fives helmet I’m working on and the decal was not as good as I wanted and the cheeks weren’t as clean as I wanted and I’m going to try and touch it up with a brush and spray paint however it’s starting to get cold out and I don’t know how to fix it. I’d also like to do one more helmet before it gets too cold to use spray paint but that’s beginning to look like it won’t happen

I'm struggling just to get the tie fighter pilot helmet to look halfway decent by Saturday. I couldn't imagine doing what you're doing, even without the timeframe

I totally understand honestly I was going to make the deathwatch Mandalorian but didn't know how to sew the flight suit so I started printing a costume of Emile a month ago and haven't even gotten all the parts printed yet :/

What this means to me is that we will get more mando videos, for longer, and the end result will be better. And if this is a better move for your mental health, I can only support it. So even if you feel like this is a step backwards or a fail; This is the way!
