Been watching the channel for awhile, and just wanted to say that me and a lot of others do enjoy the content you make. It is easy to say you are not probably are not in the best of places mentally, and taking your time with this project is the best thing you can do. Creating something as large as this project when not too many others are doing it, is probably beyond stressful. Take some time for yourself man, you need it. BTW, your current work is great, and its a learning process, take care man.

I think the best option is to take it at a good pace and not pressure yourself. We don't need a new video on it all the time. As always I will continue to support you and your amazing content. I messed up quite badly on my own Mandalorian helmet but will be pairing it with an existing costume for Halloween to the point where it doesn't matter. By next year my goal is a full, custom armour set that I can proudly wear when I want armour instead of Jedi Robes. You are the one who has inspired me into all this and you are brilliant. This is the way!

I've been a silent watcher of this channel for the past few weeks and originally found it because I also started a mando build this year (back in Feb). Moving house plus COVID restrictions have prevented me from continuing with it, however watching your videos has provided a tremendous insight as to how I would approach the rest of my build, while also being my primary source of motivation for continuing the project! Your decision to take your hobby to the next level by pursuing it as a career is incredibly admirable, and it's something I too hope to achieve one day. Thank you for sharing your process and your journey so far!

We understand. Don't be stressed about the timeline you put on the project. Mental health is way more important. Plus I think you are spinning this in a great way by giving us videos of what you tried and what went wrong. Sometimes learning from mistakes is a great way to learn.

Building these things is not easy and you have been a huge help to me personally. I still have a lot to print, and yet so much to sand, prime, and paint. I feel for you, as I have to repeat steps to achieve to the level of satisfaction. It just seems endless but we will get there!

Thank you for this video ... I've been feeling the same way about a lot of my builds and with my own mental health. Creating feels like the only thing I have control over right now and when it's not going my way I start to freak out thinking what is even the point? But we all do this for the love of the characters and the designs and some designs, like the Mando, are incredibly detailed. You're doing great and thanks for being open about how you're doing mentally, I hope things ease up and I'm excited to see the finish Mando whenever you get around to it. And like you said, his costume is probably going to change anyways LOL

I feel for you! I also set myself a deadline for Halloween (to only get half of the armor done and mounted for me). The deadline caused me to cut corners I wish I hadn't, so I'm already planning on needing to redo 4 out of the 7 armor pieces I'll wear this weekend. The good news, is that I've learned more in this last month about making than I had in the past couple years! I hope you're able to approach your next project with excitement and patience, and look forward to seeing what you've managed to make through the challenges mentioned! (And seeing all the upgrades you are planning on!)

I knew I should’ve started with a Clone Trooper but I’ve always been a Mandalorian fan. I always point new members of our local Mandalorian clan to your videos on how to do things. I (and I assume many more out there) would rather have an honest delay if it got us great content down the road. And showing that even people of your skill level have to sand and start over is huge because people like me and many foundlings out there see the amazing stuff that people put out and don't realize that they are really posting up try number 27. Plus not to mention you are starting a print farm while doing all of this. You are doing a great job! I can't wait till I can suit up and troop with you some day, it will be a great honor!

I think I have spent as much time on KZbin as I have 3D printing. Learned to 3D print ( a challenge) then bought an air brush because because spray bombs just don't work in all situations and this has been a challenge too. I made a decent looking Vader costume years and years ago. It was an amalgam of all the different Vaders, but it was good enough that most people couldn't tell. It's the point of diminishing returns, so don't stress yourself out over things that won't matter in the long run. AND - the biggest lessons we learn are the ones we fail at. I started making the same Mando costume in September also. I am just now gluing the helmet together because I had to print all my pieces in one small printer. I'm not going to have any of the leg armor done. I also will have to use silver spray paint to cover my armor because I have no spray-gun. I also got most of my undersuit parts from goodwill. You want as close to perfection as you can get, I completely understand. :) You will get there, if it is not your best work, we know you'll make it even better going forward. But you don't get any better without learning or making mistakes. You will gain a lot from this in knowledge, skill, and talent, just imagine what you will be able to accomplish when this is finished (clone commando armor with functioning vibro blades? :P ). We have complete faith in you, and don't beat yourself up, you are giving 110% effort, if that isn't enough for you, then take your time and keep going, we'll still be hear for you. Keep up the great work and self improvement. Don't give up man, I fully plan to purchase your designs and make a suit just like yours. I'm excited to see it. I started the same project at the beginning of the month and had a similar experience with the armor with the cracking due to the chest plate snapping in half and having to be glued and sanded again. I also am not too keen on how the "chrome" finish came out on mine considering I was restricted to rattle cans. But im still happy that I did it and certain parts of it turned out really great in my opinion. I guess what Im trying to say is that you should still show what you have even if it isnt perfect because there are people out there who will still find it to be amazing. Don't beat yourself up to much about it because I know that what you produce will be 1000 times more accurate than what I have.

Hey bro, sounds like the paint cracking may be caused by one of the following- 1. Spraying acrylic-based paint over an enamel-based paint or vice versa 2. Putting the coats down too heavy (moving too slowly with the can or spraying too close to the workpiece) 3. Mixing brands of paint or not following the directions on the can. Some require you to do additional coats within 10 mins of each other, OR after 48 hours, for example. Need to check the can or contact manufacturer for support. 4. Spraying in high heat, or high humidity. Or too cool. Hope this helps with your painting in the future, I know the feels when your paint runs, cracks or gets contaminated, its so frustrating as you have just lost a lot of time and a bit of money too. Do some research on painting with rattle cans and techniques and read carefully before embarking, hope it saves you some headaches and you learn a lot in the process- thanks for your videos man, they're inspiring and I've learned a lot from you! Currently building a Mando helmet myself, all your clone helmets and the mando one really pushed me to get going. All the best and take care of yourself!!
