Great job ! One thing though, the parts on the side of the helmets are meant to be made out of a fabric like materials. Those side parts are called ''flaps''

I find that melting the plastic together is actually the best way to hold them together if you take the time to melt it together it pretty much becomes 1 solid piece

Question: Can I repaint my helmet after I've already had a design for a few weeks? I'm going to be painting my all white clone trooper helmet to make it 4th of July style, but I want to make it into a Coruscant guard helmet after that. I want to make sure that I wont run into any problems.

one thing i've always been unsure of with this helmet design is what the flaps are made of. i always thought they would be a heavy vinyl like material, similar to the cloth guard on galactic marine or snowtrooper helmets.

I was expecting the purge trooper as that’s done on your site. Also could you do tech’s helmet(if you haven’t already started) once I troubleshoot my printer and finish my wrecker and imperial crosshair( once I can manage to find ultra matte slate as is overpriced on Amazon) I plan to do tech next but I’m not sure how to do some parts like the skull and goggles

I had my first attempt at smoothing a print with uv resin. I used anycubeic basic uv resin. I applied resin, cured, sprayed with isopropyl alcohol, cure, ended up having to scrub the print with alcohol and a brush to get the tackyness off, then cured again. It's hard and not at all tacky anymore but there still a strong smell that gives me a headache. Is this normal until you paint over it or did I do something wrong?

what type of resin are you using? does your UV light have enough power to cure that resin? i had a similar issue where the light wasn't quite curing it and leaving it tacky. thankfully you have the most powerful UV lamp just outside your window if it doesn't quite get it.

@@kerricaine in using black anycubeic basic uv resin. The wavelength required is 405 MN and my uv lights are 395-405mn so should be doing the trick I thought

Tip people; If you're taping stuff off to, for example, spray the grey on cheeks. Always spray the original base colour first which seals any gaps and avoids bleedthrough
