this was 1998/1999, during Mariah's vocal decline but she still delivered some of her best voices. I literally say all the time Mariah's voice comes in levels, because there are certain notes that debut Mariah couldn't hit, but early 2000s Mariah could. Her voice is literally an instrument, and it's so weird how her voice works.

The Serial For example, 1:02. In her prime she could never belt a B4 with that amount of resonance (and soul). Not even in Daydream (I know you were thinking of the last B4 in the Tokyo Vision Of Love performance, but no, it wasn't as resonant). She was incredible with upper belts but as she aged her mid belts became better, more resonant. And she's never had this much soul as here. UNBELIEVABLE PERFORMANCE.
