Geena played a pirate in Cutthroat Island!(1995) She's amazing in it! You never knew you needed to see her swashbuckling, but you do! And she plays a vampire in Transylvania 6-5000 with Jeff Goldblum! And she's in the legendary silly movie "Earth Girls Are Easy" with Jeff Goldblum again, but also Jim Carey and Damon Wayans!

16:27, in the front seat we have future Marvel alumni. Sam Jackson went on to play Nick Fury in the Avengers and Bryan Cox later played Colonel William Stryker in the X-Men movies. I would have loved to have seen Geena Davis in a Marvel movie.

In 93 Samuel L Jackson was in Jurassic Park, 94 Pulp Fiction, 95 Die Hard 3, and 96 this one. Dude was just in all time classic after all time classic and of course he’s kept that going to this day, but the early/mid 90s was his explosion to greatness.

Badass underrated movie. I'm glad yall enjoyed it. I rarely enjoy female led action movies, but this and the Kill Bill movies take the cake for me. Maybe some others but those come to mind first.

Geena Davis was a semifinalist for the US Olympic Archery Team. While she didn't make the team, it's still impressive considering she didn't take up archery until she was 41!

La Femme Nikita and Alias were big TV shows. Le Femme Nikita was also a really good film, and another film called Point of No Return is similar.

it's such a unique..strangely bad but good movie, haha, great premise, the 90's had some ridiculous action movies..explosions and silly violence galore, people forget how badass Gina Davis was, she could play any character, fun fact is she almost went to the olympics for archery..basically after her acting career, she's just really into archery "got a gun in my pocket, in my right hand too, anybody mess with me, you know what I'm gonna do..."

Renny Harlin (a Finnish director) always puts some small detail in his films about Finland. In this one, Sam Jackson drinks Finlandia vodka. As it is New Years eve of 2024/25, I am enjoying the very same drink. I think I kept it in the freezer too long since it was partially frozen, which is pretty good for a high volume alcohol. The ATF attack on the compound in Texas was a "fund raiser" ,they even had the press there before the raid. They didn't expect the level of resistance that they were met with. Then, they had to do a lot of damage control to get out of hot water at the cost of 80 innocent victims, including children.
