I personally admire the fact that its taken them this long. They didnt make any big out of character purchases, so you know they didnt squander it. It takes time and maturity to slow down and do things right. They could have bought the first thing they saw or blew it all. But they didnt. They waited/are waiting for something right to come along. Smart and patient, two qualities you dont find very often in the youtube community. Props. I donated as well and consider it money well spent. One of the best channels on youtube hands down.

the shop i go to actually stopped using comp clutch because of this reason, stating that they changed something in their manufacturing process that caused this. they had pretty much every car come back with fused clutches. They now use south bend clutch's pressure plate and clutch disc, but still recommend using comp's flywheel. hopefully it wont happen again, but food for thought if you needed new ideas down the road.

For the shifter just be a g and have inverted gears so you can punch 1st to second and for the turbo manifold are you dead set on sidewinder cus you could possibly do top mount like when you big turbo a 1.8t golf

Not sure on your transmission but the simple fix would be to swap the shift selector in the transmission. The accord/z3 ones are backwards of the a2/a3/z1 transmissions

The Honda Rue isn't broke,I had the exact same thing happened to my Mustang when I was a kid ,had to pull the trans out least 5 times because of the same shit. It's either the Synchro or the shift Fork is is a wedged all you have to do is take it apart and unwedge it,and it'll be fine

As far as the clutch goes my guess is that it was not adjusted quite enough and had just a tiny bit of drag, just enough to cause the disc to heat up and then boom welded. Got lucky, might be time to invest in some scatter shields for the cars if you’re getting more serious about drag racing
