Why did the trans brake in the van? Why would it matter if the car is a little heavier? It should pull the same power and just be slower right? I want a good transverse gearbox for a project, the most supported ones for power seem to be the honda ones, there's some nuts around here in europe that run vr6's but I heard those are way weaker than the honda ones.

Do civics have the same problem as accords with snapping off balljoints? If so I would definitely upgrade them on that civic. I had one on the upper rear and lower front snap on my accords with no warning at all and no boost either

Kyle. Why not just do the coil on plug conversion,and upgrade to coil packs. The coils mount down with bolts all the way across and no worries it will pop up from crankcase bypass.

Other than you missing gears the stock Transmissions held up pretty good considering the horsepower you are putting down on them and these ones being the lawn mower gears should help with that
