I loved that he mentioned Frantz Fanon. A relatively unknown (by the maeses) powerful black man. Who was a psychiatrist at a young age. He wrote 'The Wretched Of The Earth' and he stood by the Algerians, who where fighting off the French. He did so much work in his short life.

I’m with Monster we should be Speaking Kiswahili, it is the official language of the Afrikan Union, we in America have been speaking the oppressors language ( English) since they enslaved us on this land, like the Mexicans have been speaking their oppressors language ( Spanish) since the Spaniards enslaved and oppressed them since 1492... We must reclaim our own Tongues You can’t think like an Afrikan and speak English, because your language is your culture, and we will always been in conflict until we are Whole again... So Thank you Big Brother for making that point and standing on it💯✊🏿🤴🏿 COMMUNITY REVOLUTION IN PROGRESS

@@julesrandolph7910 no. It's an country/region in Africa language. But it's not the "African " language. Many diff native languages in the diff African country. Not all the AA in America ancestors spoke that language. But this dude is a Muslim. He thinks Islam is am African religion when it's not either. Islam came to Africa same way christianity did. Islam has done more to and still doin it, to Africa than christianity or the Europeans did lol. The Islamic Africans are the Benedict Arnold's to the Africans

You are correct, we are definitely speaking the opressors tong. For some time now there have been movements that are focused on making sure "Nagual" is taught in Mexican schools. Kody and I we were First Generation , we were kids. You kids will never know.. We were kids having fun. The 60's and 107's were our friends. Treys feuded with the 9-0s back in the day. Cats used to wearing tailored made suits , biscuit shoes , shoes with taps on the bottom, wallabies, whistling to signify your set . We lived for skating at Rosecrans on Sundays , sometimes missing the last bus that went up Florence because we just had to get the last skate in which was couple skate lol. And 2 tacos from Pup N Taco Haaaa. We would walk from Rosecrans to the hood West 71st Street when we missed the bus. . Unless Andre Ransom ( Lil Devil) Killa, Bino and them 107's would give us a ride to our hood . It kill me how they call it South Central now . We used to walk from the hood up to Centinella Park to see Cutes ,Mouse ,Tookie and them cats lifting weights. They were the Magnificent 7 they were stars to us kids . We were Cutes little brothers friends . Peace and Blessings Ayanna Shakur Will always remember Kody Scott aka Sanyika Shakur was a real one.

We all got homies like that! Ain't nothing wrong with it. This is why we need a balance of voices and thought processes. Election of 1 leader is a European standard. Communities with equal voices is an Indigenous structure that worked for a lot longer than this current "democracy". We need all the voices we can get.

I was born in 1970 in Los Angeles County. I remember the 80's being crazy in LA. It was no joke down by the coliseum at that time. Calm on gameday usually, but it was an absolute teenage, young adult warzone for 5 miles or more in any direction you looked. When crack hit? Forget about it. A generation of kids raised themselves is what essentially happened. it's a survival instinct to want to fit in at that age. Kids got the love they didnt get at home from the gang, and when you're 12,13,14 years old, you're longing for that love whether you know it or not. They found it within the gang, or so they thought. What a fucked up, violent cycle. We lost a generation of black kids in Los Angeles in the 80's. That's my take on it. But what do I know, I'm just a white boy with an interest in the history of Los Angeles gangs and the socio economic impact that area was dealing with because of it.

Really learning a lot from Monster and am intrigued by his stance on being a revolutionary. And I can also appreciate OG Cutes grounding and his perspective on kindness. @2pac run California 2pac run California You really have to read Franz Fannon, or George Jackson to understand that revolutionary ideology transcends racial and ethnic divides. That's what the brothas were talking about. On level 4 prison yards, this is the exact mentality. Most prison protests are successful when races unite. I learned a lot from brothas like these, I learned how to carry it over to society and thrive.

I'm not from the LA gang culture.. but am one with the night. Have thrived amongst chaos. Respect to Kev for getting the monster series up. Long time coming. But Cutes OG is my favorite amongst all the interviewees. Not only does he have knowledge of yall history.... But is a solid brotha who we can show our youngins even on the east coast what a real man is. It's even inspiring to see his mission of trying to help the youth. I've been of a similar mindset in DC where I started programs at rec centers to change what my hood engages the opposition hood in... adding 7 on 7 football and 3 or 3 basketball etc... But still I dont speak to the active youth whose brother may gave been killed by the other side in an unrealistic way. Cutes OG seems the same way. 10 toes down. Reputable. Kev I know you like to diversify the footage.... But please get Cutes OG on your platform more often than not. He is a conscious street King... that isnt too over anyone's head with what he is saying. Voices like his on platforms like this will really help curb the warfare on our streets. ✌🏾🖤🙏🏾
