A significant share of all Christians in Kerala are descendants of former untouchables. For examples, there are several Ezhava and other lower caste families in Manarcad and other Christian centers share their family names with Syriac Christian families in about 20 mile radius. A well-funded study is needed on this topic.

The 'system' won't give much significance to the interests of the marginalized, history and politics says so. We cannot depend upon the 'system' for anything as they act for the interests of those who pays them. But don't confuse the 'system' with the truth. The truth that the bible(scriptures) has is beautiful. But the one-sided acts of the 'system' is ugly(proved by the Jacobite-Orthodox quarrels). But many other families are in exception by keeping the 2nd-12th Century old lineages with around 40k-50k christian families were active in Kerala during 12th Century, and majority conversion from Jews, mixed with foreign Christian's from other countries migrated here, and native marriages with high caste Hindu families. The caste down (dalit, and similar caste) conversion holds majority share in the similar practices from 15th-20th Century.

കാലം മാറി....ഇനി സാബത്തിക നേട്ടമില്ലാതെ മതം മാറുന്നവർ വെറും മണ്ടന്മാർ....കാരണം മതം മനുഷ്യസൃഷ്ടിയാണ്..ഭരണകൂടത്തിന്റെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിനു പുറമേ മതത്തിന്റെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിനുകൂടി വിദേയമാകുകയെന്നതു വ്യക്തിസ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിനു കൂടുതൽ പ്രാധാന്യം നൽകുന്ന ഇക്കാലത്ത് ബുദ്ധിമുട്ട് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നതാണ്...ശാസ്ത്രപുരോഗതി നേടിയ ഇക്കാലത്ത് വിശ്വാസങ്ങൾ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു..ക്രിസ്തുമതത്തിൻറ പ്രസക്തി യൂറോപ്പിൽ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതിനു കാരണം ഈ ശാസ്ത്രപുരോഗതിയാണ്..... ദളിതരുടെ സാമൂഹിക വളർച്ചക്കു മതം മാറ്റം പരിഹാരമല്ലയെന്നു കാലം തന്നെ തെളിയിക്കുന്നു...സാമൂഹികസാബത്തികപുരോഗതിക്കു ഏറ്റവും നല്ല മാർഗം നല്ല വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നേടുകയെന്നുള്ളതാണ്....... ഈഴവർ ഉദാഹരണം...
