Well, we know that he embellished the story on at least ONE of these..... Besides, the literal truth doesn't necessary make a funny story. May have combined how his aunt taught him to make it originally, with the necessity of having to teach it on a cooking show the next day to make it funnier. Either way, it looks delicious. May just have to attempt this myself. I have Baharat seasoning though, not kebab.... will that work?

Ok for some reason all of your OLD videos are in my feed today! BUT, i did learn something very, very important from this video! I never knew how to properly use saffron when cooking with it! When i was in Egypt 14 years ago, i had dinner at a little local restaurant in luxor. The waiter just fell over me (one thing i loved about Egypt, i was a goddess! Three marriage proposals and I was with the ex husband!!! That should have told me something 😀) anyway, i commented on how good the chicken was and later the waiter dropped off a bag of spices at the hotel which included a HUGE packet of saffron! I've never seen so much! It's still good! But I'm going to follow your instructions on how to use it now with jasmine rice (because that's my favorite rice!)

I never considered making kebab on a G.Foreman grill! THAT was comical but I bet kebab tastes fine. You left out key point of how rice must be first boiled to a state where not completely cooked, drained. THEN, layering of zeresk and saffron blend and steam for plumped rice. I know people who consider the length of the rice as a symbolic measure of the chef's skills. Good job on video.
