k20a oil pump swap in k24

So ask why k20a oil pump swap, or why 50 deg gear, with the oil pump upgrade you will make more power mid range and not just that you will be able to reg a lot higher with a k20a pump especially if you think to do some drop in cams or swap the head to a k20, same with the 50 vtc gear, it helps getting more power mid range, hey guys I know I don't have the best way to explain things feel free to do some more research whats best way to go with your setup, feel free to ask anything and if I can help... tanks for watching...

There is a tool you can buy from Honda it’s called camshaft locking pins. On the opposite side of the motor you can insert those pin locks into the holes at the end of the camshaft to prevent the cams from moving when installing a timing chain. I bought one and it’s amazing!!!

Hey Bro, I have a 2009 Honda Civic Si, and just did an engine swap, got the K24 Block (TSX 2004-2008), and using K20 Z3 head. Forgot to take out the little oil port, was getting P2647 code (not getting enough, oil pressure when hitting VTEC, changed out everything, now I know to block that hole with a screw (Honda Bond), and going to modify the K20 Z3 Oil Pump (New), so it fits, not using Type S Oil Pump, because I'm not going on any track soon, just a daily driver. Theres a different series in the k24 engines, this is a k24a3 by the looks of things you may have a different k24 variant.

The k24 oil pump cavitates oil at high rpms and doesn't lubricate the head. that's why the k20 pump is needed.

daz j the rbb is 25 degrees. The rbc is 50. You get more advance tunability.

Block is much thicker also if something go wrong and you mess up the block it will cost more time and money to fix... plus if for any reason you decide to throw the k24 oil pump back everything will be at original state...
