Yet, millions of her fans still honor and celebrate her music.
As for the man she loved, Chris Perez, he says not a day goes by that he doesn't think of her.
I'm really happy right now with everything going on, said Perez.
At 45, Perez is working as hard as ever.
He splits his time recording music in San Antonio and Miami.
He also spends a lot of time in Corpus Christi with his two children from his second marriage and with the family of Selena.
We're really tight, he said. We like to spend time with each other when we can.

I had just started hearing about Selena and her music shortly before she was killed. I've watched the movie many times and cry at the end. I pray for her family who may never get past the grief. Is it wron for someone whose not Hispanic to miss her and love her?

20 years after Selena entered eternal life still hearing her great music today still makes us dance at fiestas, parties, and events here in San Antonio. It still seems like we lost yesterday because she was a big icon in the Tejano Music Industry that her presence and talent inspired every little girl to get up on stage with her and sing and dance to the song Bibbi Bibbi Bom Bom. I'm sorry. We all wish she was still here with you and happily married, with her family nearby. You seem to have handled it well, like her family. So strong. I didn't realize their wedding day was my birthday. Woh! She meant sooo much to me after my mom died/helped me get through that grief. Thank you Quintanilla family.
