KaBlam! was a show like no other at the time. Blending cartoons and sketch comedy, Nickelodeon had a one of the most unique shows filled with memorable shorts, jump starts to future cartoons and a soundtrack drenched in Ska vibes! Hard to believe this year KaBlam! is 25 years old already, where does the time go?

Yah it was one of the best shows on nick. Simply for the fact that it was so different. Catching action league now was always super fun. Felt like I was watching a comic. It being an incubator for potential series was also dope. Fun stuff.

Remember! Action league was my addiction I literally watched nicktoons everyday just to catch it and it literally only showed sometimes on kablam and then like from 1-2 on a Saturday/Sunday afternoon

I think about Prometheus and Bob often. It fits in nicely with my conspiracy theories, and is my favorite as an adult. As a kid, my favorite was The Off-Beats. My mom and I groan “I want my cooooat” when we’re cold to this day, and only we seem to know what we’re referencing lol.

This show introduced me to two of my favorite bands; the Toasters and They Might Be Giants. Their animated music video for Doctor Worm is one of the weirder things I've seen on Nickelodeon, but it opened a huge music door for me.

Oh thank you for reminding me! When I was about to be introduced to a hearing-impaired friend of a friend, I got a crash course in some basic ASL by my friend signing Dr. Worm. (Amongst other things but that one was one of the first) My ASL (and other languages) are still/reverted back to being spotty at best - but *now* I remember where my signing finally clicked the first time. I know that seems tangential, but it's *very* helpful to me. Thank you again!

Kablam was probably the closest thing we got to a Liquid Television for kids. Granted, I don't think it ever reached the levels of "out there" that LTV did, but it was still cool to see a lot of different artistic and animation styles all together in one series. I've always loved that sort of thing

KaBlam! was one of my favorite shows as a kid, but also like a perceived fever dream I wasn't even sure if was real for a few years after it stopped airing when I was a kid. It had a lasting impact on me, as even when I couldn't remember the show itself, I remembered the characters. I used to quote Action League Now! all the time. Meltman! Wit the power to... MELT!

KaBlam! is an absolute favorite of mine. It’s such a shame that it doesn’t get acknowledged more when people talk about 90s Nicktoons. I would LOVE to see a KaBlam character in Nickelodeon All Stars Brawl! Also highly recommend listening to “The Toasters” and “They Might Be Giants” on Spotify. You’ll recognize a lot of their songs if you’re a fan of KaBlam!

I loved Kablam! After it ended they kept it around in a smaller capacity and played single sketches between shows on Nickelodeon for years afterwards. The sketches were short enough to fill a few minutes where they didn't have scheduled commercials.

Most people will remember Action league Now!. Yet Kablam was a good show to air or creations at the time was good. You also forgot that Henry and June sometimes was breaking the 4th wall. Like in the video you had the small clip where Henry is talking to the viewer saying that he understands if you turn the channel and he will help you with that. He then has a remote and makes it looks like he turned your channel to something else. In truth i wouldn't mind these characters returning for something new. It just sucks that they didn't a good push in the right direction.

Though I never saw the show as a child I did grow up in the mid 2000s and early 2010s reading the Beano and Dandy comics and watched the MAD television series online, and this series definitely seems like something a younger me would enjoy.

When it boils down to it, this show was simply a product of it's time. It's pretty much a kid friendly version of Liquid TV which was also extremely experimental and even featured a reoccurring short that was done in the same style as Life with Loopy called Joe Normal.

Kablam focused more on the comicbook anthology aspect of itself than liquid tv which was just a generic assortment of animated shorts. Kablam was more like MAD magazine. Also joe normal was made by the same company that made life with loopy if you couldn’t tell. Kablam also lasted way longer than mtv’s show.

This is, to me, still a very important show and one of my favorites. My friend and I consider ourselves huge Kablam fans, have Henry and June pins, "Snap Me Down" from Sniz and Fondue is a phrase we still use. I have such fond memories of segments from Action League Now, Sniz and Fondue, Prometheus and Bob, Life with Loopy, the Off-Beats. and ofc Henry and June's antics, and the pilot for their spinoff show ("now now Henry, that's not how Cuba Gooding Jr. asks for mints"). all-around a great show, great style, great universe, and it deserves more recognition.

This was one of my favorite shows, and probably one of the reasons I got into unique animation styles as a kid. Some of my favorite sketch series alongside everything involving Henry and June were Prometheus and Bob (my personal favorite, absolutely hilarious), Life with Loopy, Action League Now! and the Off-Beats. KaBlam! being the important childhood favorite of many of us, it's a shame it doesn't quite get the respect it deserves, in my opinion...until now! Thanks, Paramount+!

My dad always liked to see Prometheus & Bob when I watched this show. I remember being VISCERALLY angry whenever the show aired, I forget the name, but it was live action with a racing rabbit, somehow that short made me very angry. Otherwise I already really liked watching the show.

I was JUST about to request this show after watching your videos last night and you did not disappoint,thank you so much! As for me it was one of those shows I loved back then and still do today. As for my favorite short,it’s a tie between Loopy and Action League,more so Action League cause I remember being its own ‘show’ when it used to air on Nicktoons. And by show I mean it had its previous segments squeezed as an ‘episode’ for its 20-something minute run. It even has its own ending credits as well! been waiting for this one. my family and i LOVED this show. right off the bat, we loved it because it was a ska intro. it's an instrumental version of "Two Tone Army" by The Toasters. I was always excited when KaBlam was playing! Action League Now was mine and my brothers favorite short. But I pretty much loved them all. I do wish the shorts that were apart of the original run were still included, even though some of them were picked up by other networks for full fledged shows. Awesome work Jordan! Prometheus & Bob was one of my favorites, whenever kablam showed it and it was one of the shorts I looked forward to. I felt sorry for the poor purple alien, who was always trying to enlighten bob. Around that time, I also watched Kaput and Zosky short series, two alien outlaws who are always visiting planets and exploit their inhabitants in some way, only have something to force them to leave.

Kablam was a favorite of me my siblings! One of the shorts you showed but didn't name had clear Mo Willems style - an extremely popular and influential children's book author, (the pigeon, elephant and piggie, knuffle bunny), and creator of one of our other favorite shows you can't really find anything about anymore, Sheep in the Big City.
