@3boyz31714 күн бұрын
When I saw the video on Lisa E’s pinpoint concealer, all I could think was, What about Bobbi Brown’s face pencil, which has been around for decades, in Bobbi Brown and Jones Road. I have seen many makeup tips over the years recommending using a skin-toned eyeliner pencil to cover small spots. I guess if you are under 40, it seems like a new idea.

It must be a different formula because it looks like a retractable one, and Bobby's is a wood encased one. Retractable eye pencils set more, so I would assume the same for these. But I would love to watch a comparison video! Especially if it includes wear test.

OK so I bought the Lisa Eldridge pinpoint concealer pen because I have some broken capillaries that is very hard to cover with concealer, I’ve tried Narrs pot concealer (and others as well) with a teeny tiny little brush nope not working! I have a question about undertones! I think I’m a fair olive but I just can not tell. So if I wear warm browns they turn orange and if I wear cool browns the turn gray, the makeup by Mario moonlight palette turns grey,the master mattes the neutral is sorta of brown on me but kinda grey too! If I use anything that is warm it turns orange! So I don’t know what color brown to wear that actually looks brown

I've been using flesh toned liners to pinpoint correct for nearly 20 years - using liners is waaaay cheaper, they're widely available at any price point and they are also long-lasting (plus waterproof depending on formula). You may say Lisa's new concealer is innovative, and it likely is for the masses, but some of us have definitely already been doing this (or at least I have).

Fair, cool neutral here- I’ve been using the Exa pink corrector under my eyes and it’s perfect. I don’t even need concealer with it. It is more of a desaturated pink than most correctors, though, so maybe that’s why? I LOVE the Merit blushes. I layer them with the RMS blushes and it’s just so beautiful every single time 😊 Edited to correct grammar.

Same, the Exa pink corrector is one of the few pale correctors that’s desaturated enough to work on my under eye area. The Kosas one looks way too intense for me!

I put yellow corrector under my eyes. The Kosas correctors are SO pink. My undereyes are purple, bluish brown. Color correcting can be so individual.
@rachelrezko422914 күн бұрын
My favorite undereye color corrector is the Koleidos eye primer. I'm very fair, to the point where the orangey eye primer looks nuts as an eye primer, and my under eyes are very dark purple. Things marketed as color corrector either don't have enough orange in them to actually correct anything, or they're so opaque and orange that it looks nut against my skin and is hard to cover the orange color. The Kaleidos eye primer has enough orange pigment, is semi-sheer, and applies super thinly on the skin. It's also crease resistant since it's an eye primer!
@elizabeths.941415 күн бұрын
For some reason peach color correctors don’t look good or work on me, but pink on the other hand works amazing. They are hard to come by. Olive girly here (but light-med) - my undereyes go blue-purple, so I tend to go straight orange (that Elf Orange corrector, specifically) mixed with my neutral skin-tone concealer for the circles. The usual peaches and pinks marketed to my skin depth get...really weird on me. Same with pink powders. I think they just end up going ashy because the warm pink is being canceled by the olive-ness??? I used a lavendar powder once, and that was an interesting brightening effect.

I am slowly learning to pay attention to what colors I like and I don’t like so I might have any shot of understanding my undertone and your videos have been really helpful for that. I wanted to acknowledge all the work you are putting in because I so appreciate it. I’m slowly learning that we have a similar taste in nude lip colors and foundation shades, but the warmer tones you prefer for eyes tend to turn too orange on me and the color colors that look too sooty on you tend to look more skin native on mine. What does it mean? No idea 😂 Currently unable to buy makeup, but learning by figuring out why I reach for certain items I have and not others and experimenting with my eyeshadows. My tastes are changing as I get older and I really appreciate having your channel as a resource.

The kosas color corrector in the lightest shade is hopefully good for someone (maybe olive skin like you said), but it makes me bananas when a "dark circle color corrector" is cool-toned pink when blue/purple shadows need peach. @@margaretkobel2910I don’t have the makeup forever palette, but I do have a mob palette. I have very dry, post menopausal skin.
