now say that when everyone has red borders and no one touches the raid again...... guess garden of salvation isnt enough to prove your point wrong, literally like 1 maybe 2 LFG posts to run that even after it got red borders. red borders are a temporary fix to actually making content grindable. what would make more sense is red borders from x activity require x resource from said activity to craft, this way even after red borders are obtained the grind isnt over, this usually how a lot of MMO/RPGs offer crafting, it requires materials from specific areas or higher level areas etc. to then craft high end items. This is how bungie should have approached crafting, there current implementation simply created a situation in which once many got the red borders they felt "complete" with said activity, do you or other people run a dungeon again once you got the exotic to drop and have most of the weapons you want from repeated runs already? I certainly dont because there is a little thing called novelty, and after a good 1-3 months that piece of content is usually cycled out with a "fresher" piece of content to take the place of the loot chase, sadly this is something bungie just cannot keep up with hence power crept crafting weapons vs the OGs ones introduced with WQ. You can argue crafting all you want, but crafting simply created imo a far worse situation than what led bungie to actually sunset gear because "power creep" best in slot meta.

It goes both ways because once people get their red borders there no reason to really go back into it. Sure there's an almost limitless ceiling in getting the roll you want with RNG drops but it also means you could do 1 run, get the roll you want, and then not have to grind for it like you would with Red Borders which you HAVE to get at least 5 of, which there isn't really a guarantee to get a red border outside typically weeklys. Crafting should have been a safety net to prevent that limitless ceiling. IMO the changes that should have happened: Have every drop come with a 2nd perk in either 3rd or 4th columns, Let players who get their God roll early be able to enhance it without needing red borders, then allow dismantling of seasonal weapons work towards a resource currency that gives you weapon patterns and also make it like old raid adepts where once you enhance it (or in this example, craft it) you pick ONE perk from the columns to craft with only the 1st and 2nd perk columns be able to swap out at any time. This way you create an incentive to farm if you want the best version of a God roll with the multi perks, which you only get through drops, while also creating a safety net for players to eventually get the roll they desire. If you want multiple perk combos for a particular weapon you do the grind again. But sadly no one at Bungie is creative enough to come up with a proper solution. It's either one thing or the other.

Personally the origin trait gives you just a significant boost to your reload speed that I really don't think you even need Subsistence. Despite getting the Subs + KT roll I like my Killing Wing + KT roll much more due to the stat increases but I've been wanting a Heating Up + KT roll too as Killing Winds buff is removed when you stow the weapon while Heating Up doesn't.

One of the problems with the Tonic system was that it felt slim on those ingredients that are specific to other content within the game (i.e. Tomb Flakes, Reflective Flakes). They should have made one of the Major Fieldwork perks in each Act (or a Tonic) that immediately increased the number of Flakes per completion, or random to completion of other content in the game. Example - completing a Nightfall with Tomb of Elders Tonic rewards an additional 2 Tomb Flakes. Or a Apothecary Synthesis Converter - Combine Vitality and Powders into higher level reagents. Kind of like what they did during Altars of Summoning/Ancient Alchemy from Season of the Witch.

I’m usually already over it after the first play through on most missions. I love seeing the perseverance most players have to keep going to get the rewards and wish I had that too. Who cares what’s going on in bungie this week, I’ve lost interest tonics are useless! And channels like this are not all telling the truth about how boring this game has gotten..sadly I’ve made friends but once we stopped playing we stop talking why because we all go off to different games, the story in destiny has become boring,it’s just about grinding, I want to play games like Witcher 3 that goes on and on, until it stops..destiny has become the game that sucks the life out of gaming..

Best way to fix Kells Fall is to reward players at the end with artifice armor per run 1 random piece with high stats as well. POW problem fixed.

Personally I think there are so many things that could have gone right like new abilities and actual new weapons(not like I’ll replace any of the weapons I use now cause of a 5% dmg increase)and make the season pass as a cosmetic pass instead of having some of the best stuff behind the pay wall I’ll play to the end of this year and call it quits. The last ten years feel like a waste cause of the WAY it is dying

Honestly the tonics aren't the actual problem, it's bungie doing the same bullshit of arbitrarily making the grind a tedious obnoxious bullshit, there is zero reason we can't just give eido tonics we don't want for ingredient bundles so we can refund some of our resources to get the tonics we want
