Many years ago now I had what I consider to be the best of the best drumset and bass. I've had many top shelf instruments in my life as a musician (now 52 yrs old and released my second solo album recently). But none so absolutely top of the list as these. One was a huge (like, Terry Bozzio replica big) DW kit with a satin oil finish that was the first of its kind. The second was a Warwick Thumb 6 neck-thru bass. These two instruments were life changing, deeply meaningful. Then I sold them. The level of regret that I did that, and then as a chain of times selling top shelf gear, is indescribable. Having a recent learning phase and then diagnosis of OCD, in addition to anxiety and depression (almost all my life, all three, but not understanding OCD), I can look back and at least understand how I could have sold off such incredible instruments. They were major impacts in my musical life. They were not "just instruments" to me. I'm saying all this here because I hear that tone in these Warwick videos. It is unique, awesome. I cannot afford these instruments these days, so it hurts deeply to have that reality. However I still watch these because I admire the craft, the artistry, the musicianship...and definitely yes, the Warwick brand and signature sound and look. This video here is another awesome one. Love it. Thank you, from my heart.
