Hot take: I don’t think Stolas is a good dad (specifically in episode two). One he brings along Blitz ,who is basically tearing apart Octavia’s family, on what’s supposed to be their outing, and spends a significant amount of time flirting with him and doesn’t consider that his daughter doesn’t want to watch him flirt with the man he’s cheating on her mom with. Also if he stopped flirting with Blitz for 5 seconds he might have noticed that she was clearly not having a good time and had outgrown Loo loo land. He turns it around at the end but I wouldn’t say he was a good dad for the majority of the episode.

Exactly! Even with the episode where she gets lost in the human world, he goes to save her, but gets sidetracked heavily with Blitzø stuff. He literally had no idea where or how she was but spent the whole day on set with him as if the demon hitman couldn't take care of himself

yeah he's really insensitive when it comes to having Blitz around when he's hanging out with Octavia. Even when Octavia was sad about not going to see the stars, Stolas brings Blitz along and then gets distracted by Blitz's whole sitcom thing 😬

Them wondering why hawks is #2 is so wild to me. This dude has hundreds of feather that he can individually control to both fight and support. He can single handedly evacuate an entire building while also making sure the falling rubble doesn't hit anybody. Pair that with what is bassically the best training in the entire series and I am not suprised he is number 2. Also just the fact that we have seen that pro heroes like Endevour have a almost supernatural sense for being a hero also shows why many aren't top 10. Bakugou might be better in stats but Mirko is easily more experianced, can cause the least collateral and is also easily likeable. Also the whole popularity contest part makes sense since you want the public to trust the top heroes and someone like Aizawa isn't good for that. Too either reclusive or socially unprepared (Aizawa, cementos, suneater, shinso) Too green or inexperianced (Mt lady, all students) Too impaired from their Quirk for proper quick response time (Mt lady again, fatgum, kirishima) All these need to be overcome to earn the top spot.

To be fair, he is basically an undercover Fed to both the heros and Villains 😂 so I'm sure CIA backed anything can get away with anything while being #2 hero. Hawks is a pretty cool character and he does show competence in how he handles stuff. He most likely deserves it, but he 100% has a cheat code backer for the top ranks.

As long as he's popular enough, they don't care about his rankings. His abilities are incredibly over powered. The only one faster than him was All Might. He saves more people than anyone, and his feathers aren't just weapons and individual drone tools, they can hear and feel for him. He's basically a one man surveillance system.

to explain he power imbalance of Stolas and Blitz first hell is a classist society with imps and hellhounds at the bottom while the Ars Goetia (where Stolas is) is upper middle class above the overlords but below the sins. Stolas grew up with imps as servants and abuses his imps a couple of times. Then there's the fact that the only way Blitz has a job is with Stolas's Grimoire his Livelihood depends on this relationship with Stolas. Stolas also doesn't fully understand the consequences of his actions or how to treat Blitz. (they both suck at comunication)

Kaiju 8 for me is the same sort of boat that black clover is, were its very formulaic but does that incredibly well. Plus there are some moments in this story that gave me some genuine twist and turns that I was not expecting. And they lead to incredibly hype moments. I will say next episode is gonna be a big one. Also, I’m excited because fairy tail is coming back in July baby!! I know Danny hasn’t watched it and Nick isn’t even halfway through it, but he’d be interesting to check it out without knowing really much of anything about what happened.

Real talk though Stolas is not innocent he is at least half the problem in the relationship. He has so much power over his a Blitz's relationship and doesn't even realize it. and specifically on the topic of the night at Ozzie's Blitz does want a relationship with Stolas but see's Stolas as out of his league and Stolas hiding from the accusation thrown at him in this part confirms to Blitz that this relationship isn't going anywhere

So the possible reason that Nick missed episode 8 is probably because it came out during season 2. episode was postponed in season 1 due to legal problems with Ke$ha's music contract if I remember correctly

The thing with Fizzerolly's is that Blitz got hurt by Stolas recoiling and hiding himself when Asmodeus was calling him out in the song. The reason Blitz thought he wasn't love there was cuz he felt that Stolas was ashamed of him, publicly, that is why he think he just wants Blitz for sex and like, look at how he uses the other imps, Stolas is not this puppy saint, he also neglects his daughter tons. He as acted classist with the other imps, like during the fair and his staff. I feel people are far to blind to Stolas also being a shitty person, he is just soft aesthetically and that seems to disarm people to all his faults.

Everytime Nick brings up some heroes in the hero ranking, I feel the need to scream from the highest mountain about how they get the rank they do. It's Missions run(Villain defeats, Lives saved, Duties performed) and public appeal. Like I get that Wash is an underwhelming hero, but a good hearted and child friendly hero who can capture villains in his bubbles is going to just BE successful. Like there's a sub-rank of heroes who have sick powers and look cool, but that's not all there is in the world. Imagine if all the top heroes were COPS and not Fire fighters or EMS, like what does he want? I LOVE your stuff, but every time you guys get on the hero rankings this comes up.
