She ordered a specific drink and told the employee making said drink to NOT AT ALL add ANY KIND of peanut related ingredients. She orders a coffee I thi k or some kind of smoothie or milkshake. Reminds me of my own story: In elementary school I had school lunches. There was this one teacher that was obsessed with soup for whatever reason. He stopped kids that were about to return their lunch to check if they ate the soup, if they did not, they were sent back to their seat. One day I checked the menu and saw that the soup had allergies so I decided to skip it, as I was walking to my seat this man grabs me by the shirt collar, drags me back to the line and asks how much soup I want. I told the teacher that I cannot eat it due to my allergies, he did not believe me and I spent like 5 minutes explaining to this grown man that I had allergies. Sadly my memory is garbage and I do not remember if he ended up giving me the soup or left it be, but for some reason I feel like he ended up giving it to me and I somehow made my way around him. TL:DR: A teacher obsessed with soup tried to force me to eat a soup I was allergic too.

I’ve got a story of food allergies, so one time I was at school about to start PE but then when I walked out of the changing room there were a bunch of non-PE teachers. They proceeded to give us a lecture about food allergies and brought up this one kid, I’ll call him “C”. So C was severely allergic to dairy products and could get sent to the hospital if he ate any, so then the teachers were like “Make sure you don’t share food with people if you don’t know their allergies”. This is honourable and there isn’t much to this story, I just felt like sharing it.

thank god I've never had to run into this, for the most part. I do have one food allergy so far (there's probably another, but we need to get me into the doctor to see what's going on with my gut), and that is Aspartame. You know, that one fake sugar in any food labeled "sugar-free" or "diet" like the diet sodas. Luckily for me, I have several friends that know of my allergy, and so whenever I'm out with them, if we're getting any kind of food that would have any kind of sugar in it, they ask for me if it has aspartame in it, which is nice because even I forget to ask sometimes. [EDIT] also, why can I imagine myself being the strange one where if someone lied to me about a food I'm allergic to not being in a cake, then proceeded to say food allergies aren't real after I have a reaction, I'd probably be the type to just take another bite of the cake, just to prove a point?... WHY AM I LIKE THIS. [EDIT 2] Also also, forgot one other allergy that I apparently USED to have as a baby? I used to be allergic to strawberries. I'm definitely not anymore. [EDIT 3] so, we realized I may have a sensitivity to oil.

@@Sharkie2807 NO WAY. I thought no one understands me how it felt having eczema, I had eczema on my arms fully. When I was a kid, a lot of the other kids didn't like me cause it looked weird or they thought I had a disease. That just created insecurities and leaded me to wear hoodies and long sleeves in the summer at a young age. I grew up and most people say it isn't a real thing, which that pisses me off so bad. We found out my eczema was caused by an amount of stress. At some point we calmed it down and now it doesn't look like I've ever gotten eczema. But it can flur up again.

I thought they'd be disgusted by it but they didn't really feel that way. They even searched up and recommended creams. Haha I can relate so much. When I was in 1st grade There was a dress up day for a book that my class was reading called possum magic. This was an Australian book so we had a ton of iconic Australian dishes such as pavlova and lamingtons, (look it up if you don’t know what they are) and I have a egg, nuts, and sesame seed allergy. It was also anaphylactic, so basically pavlova and lamingtons have about 7 to 9 eggs in them (btw I’m allergic to whites and yolks of an egg) And basically my mum was on the phone for weeks, reminding all the parents making the dishes not to feed me the desserts with egg in them. And fun fact: the parents were KARENS so they just said carelessly said “Yeah cool we’re on it” Until finally the day came, all the kids were notified that after they eat the desserts to wash their hands with soap and water, and when we were all gathered around the table a parent offered me some pavlova, the dish was mainly made up of egg white so thats nice. Anyway when the spoonful was just about to touch the tip of my tongue, mum bursted in the room and started to scream. Now at 13, I recently took a test to see how I’m doing with egg. I passed but I can only eat BAKED egg, which means just cookie, cakes, browinies, and muffins. God they’re so good, next I’m gonna take a sesame seed test soon so yay! *god that took forever to type :’)*

I had a similar experience happen to me except it was with a teacher. In ninth grade my French teacher would constantly have food days where people could bring in food and the class could eat it. The thing is that she was given special permission by the school to allow students to bring in homemade stuff however she was suppose to have the students tell her so she knew what was in the food. She never asked students to tell her what they were bringing and she never knew what was in the food that people brought. So one day we get to class and it was food day. Except no one in my class brought anything because we couldn't afford to bring food. Now upon getting there we all saw about half a big tray of brownies on the table. We asked the teacher what they were for and she told us that someone from a previous class brought them and that person said that later classes could have some. So I ask her if there is any coconut in it since I am allergic to coconut and she tells me that she didn't know what was in them. I decided to wait until some of my classmates ate one to make sure and they said there was no coconut. So I take one and start eating it. I almost am finished eating the brownie when three of my classmates tells to stop. Turns out that the person who made the brownies did put coconut in it but they shredded it down so small that you couldn't really taste it until you had a second one. So obviously my class is concerned since I ate something I am allergic to while my teacher is sitting there blowing it off. And they start freaking out when I start having redness and a couple of hives on my face. Now the thing is that I was more concerned about if my throat was gonna close up and I wasn't gonna be able to breath. So after the whole period I only had three hives on my fact and some redness so I went to band. However upon getting to band I can feel my throat starting to close very slowly. So I immediately went to the teacher and I was rushed down to the nurses office. Once we got there we told the nurse what happen and she immediately got into my file to find out what I take to stop my allergic reaction. She gives me what I need and made sure to take the medicine. The nurse then called my mom and told her what happened and the nurse hands me the phone so my mom can talk to me. I told her I was somewhat fine and then I sat in the nurses office for over an hour waiting to feel better. Once my throat gets to normal and the redness and hives goes away I go to my last class of the day. I found out later that the nurse obviously reported it and the teacher got in so much trouble and got told that if she did it again then there would be some serious consequences.

I, fortunately, have no known allergies to anything. The closest thing to an allergy I have was a reaction to a chemical that was never shown to my skin before via a face lotion, but it wasnt an allergy according to the doctor's. However, one of my friend's does have an allergy to chocolate, more specifically, the contents inside chocolate. This led to a pretty common thing between us, a huge love for strawberry flavored things. One day, our school was giving out chocolate muffins for breakfast. We headed up to the counter, and naturally, my friend asked if there was alternatives, cause she didnt want to miss out on the once in a lifetime opportunity for a muffin. The lunch lady said there was, and brought out some more muffins... with chocolate chips. I asked this time if there were alternatives, but being more specific as to no chocolate alternatives. The lunch lady looked at us like we were nuts and said, "Never in my life had I met two kids who hate the taste of chocolate!" Here was the thing: Only I hated the taste of chocolate (Too sugary for me). My friend's allergy was developed over time to chocolate, and she actually quite enjoyed the taste. So while my friend stood there in shock, I explained this to the lunch lady in to which she said "Nope, pretty sure an allergy to chocolate doesnt exist." Eventually a teacher came, knocked some sense into the lunch lady, and my friend and I got blueberry muffins. Not sure what happened to that lunch lady afterwards, but our teacher seemed pissed, probably because that teacher had an allergy to peanuts and she was disappointed in the lunch lady for not making alternatives for students with allergies for chocolate like they do for students with allergies to peanuts
