After three weeks the KM601 is perfect. I needed a replacement set of "leads," and the Kaiweet's support team is second to one ...they sent me what I needed and more. I received a better response from the support team than you do on a new car, or new appliances at Lowes, or just about anything I've purchased in the past ten years that required contact with customer support.

excelent news, its not often overseas support is that good, or not just good for the people doing the reviews.

06:44 you mention that the Pitch of the sockets is not standard. That worries me as i like to buy "Brymen BL21S2-T4SC" Silicone test leads. I thought i would buy these and get sum nice quality test leads.. Any advice ?

Thanks for the comprehensive review.

test leads have a very thin coating on them and need to be cleaned first to increase accuracy.

They’ve been sending these to everyone, except to me, I had to buy mine. That’s ok, I’ve got a dozen more anyway. I did test it though. Not perfect, and not intended for high precision work. Of course, for the $47 USA this cost me, it’s pretty good. No, it doesn’t compare to my lab meters, but for daily use where this accuracy is adequate, which means most work, it’s just dandy. Other than for the extra measurement modes, the LCD screen is a winner for my older eyes.

to test the live you should take off the black probe and use the red probe and select the Live option using the SEL button

This meter seem to wipe the floor with my fluke! I have been using fluke since 1983. Will it does micro Amps?

Did you see anything pointing to calibration and if so, whom?

How long do the batteries last? I imagine not too long.

I don't use mine every day but I put in some Duracell batteries after I reviewed and am still using them now. I replaced the ones that came with it as I have more confidence in the duracells

I just received this and it's beautiful, has a good range (like capacitance), can do 1000v, has colored LCD and one can change things w/ one had (or a limb) if the hand are tied (unlike with rotary you need to hands). The long press on the Auto button is a quick way to switch from things to continuity or DC voltage, or AC voltage or resistance measurements, as quick as rotary manual (but thankfully it has manual mode too). Would you know though how much is its discharge when it's stored and when in use for hours, always ON coz' I'm doing my best to research on the best battery for it coz' it's using colored LCD? Should I buy a rechargeable lithium (1.2v Eneloop AAA won't work) or 1.5v lithium or 1.5v Alkaline. Thank you for the advise, in advance on batter discharge for this amazing, cool & stylish multimeter. God bless, Rev. 21:4

Rather late reply. .not sure about battery life but I'm using the same batteries I put in when I got the device. I did not trust the ones that came with it. Re the color, it is not a color LCD, but a coloured overlay on top so it will have the lower consumption of a mono lcd

I do wish this had bluetooth or even wifi. And if that's the case it would need an external power supply. They didn't even ask me! Don't you wish you could have offsets for reach range with a + an - button?

It would be nice to connect it to a computer with WiFi or blue.
