Actually Jiraiya only lost because he didn’t understand Pains ability until the very end of the fight. That’s why Pain mentioned that if Jiraiya found out any earlier he would have clapped their asses

I do not believe. I think that over the course of the Kishimoto story has accumulated insights and more in advance and the more it becomes obvious. Naruto who was more powerful than Jiraiya, who had a better tactical plan, who had better reinforcement (powerful allies of Mount Myoboku), but above all who had the information on Pain. Even with all of these elements, Naruto almost passed from life to death. And even more, he must have resorted to Kyubi to weaken Pain. Despite all this, he almost died if it hadn't been for Minato's intervention to make things come back in his favor. So I doubt that the Jiraiya who fought Pain could overcome Pain as we saw it attacking Konoha. And the manga accumulates so much inconsistency like that, the list is so long. This is why sometimes that I happen to review the remarks made by certain characters in the past, I am obliged to relativize or to find myself an excuse to make it believable. And my excuse for this passage is that Nagato just overestimated Jiraiya a little too much or I would put it down to the respect he had for his former master who blinded his judgment. Because clearly, I do not see for a single second Jiraiya defeating the bread that attacked Konoha and Naruto, even if he had all the information on him, even if he had time to prepare in advance, he told me. It is impossible to imagine for a single moment Jiraiya won against the 6 Loaves. And yet Jiraiya is a powerful character, but the way in Kishimoto demonstrated Pain's full abilities in the face of Konoha and Naruto, with a minimum of seriousness, it is impossible to imagine Jiraiya defeating the 6 Pain.

Kakashi is a very smart and strong level jonin..but still he is not a kage level..he is an ideal jonin level shinobi with his sharp skills he is a bit stronger.. Jiraiya took three pains and he was the ideal kage level marking.. u need to be atleast on Jiraiya's level to be a kage...which Kakashi later became a kage level adding the purple lighting..he is definitely kage level at boruto series

Even if you had someone else from the alliance against him (even if you interchange Naruto, Bee, Kakashi and Guy fighting him) they would still lose. Yes, they lost, but at that given point in time, they were the only ones capable of taking him head on. Plus, even if she did lost, Tsunade managed to some very impressive things like cracking Madara's Susanoo with only her fist (something which even a Giant Rasengan couldn't make a scratch), tank Madara's Yasaka Magatama - implied by Itachi to be the Susan's most powerful offensive attack - point blank and casually pummelling complete forms of Susanoo with her punches. Those didn't do much against Madara yes, but it doesn't mean she's against everybody else.

What is she gonna do if Pain just decides to pull her and extract her soul or cut her in half?? Pain is just a bad matchup for her, that's all, she's strong, but Pain's abilities is too crazy for someone with simple brute strength like hers to handle.

@@x.ocaleb302 I don't remember Madara having the same wide arrays of Rinnegan related abilities same as Pain, except probably for the jutsu absorption and Chibaku Tensei. If whether he has the same Shinra Tensei as Pain is for now would be a speculation. Though, it must be mentioned though that Madara himself said that the only way to defeat him is through taijutsu as any ninjutsu would ultimately fail. Yes, Jiraiya is faster and more versatile BUT Tsunade is far more durable and has more stamina and chakra in her. Like any Rinnegan wielder, the best way to defeat an opponent with the Rinnegan is by taijutsu. Nakara Path is the one who revives the Pains, and that Pain is virtually worthless in battle. Without it, the rest cannot be revived. Human Path is also as fragile as any other shinobi. Preta Path's main weakness is taijutsu which makes Tsunade the worst possible match-up against it. Asura Path has nothing in its arsenal which can put down Tsunade. Jiraiya died because for all his powers, he still has the body of a regular shinobi, while Tsunade is virtually immortal in battle as long as she has chakra. Unlike Jiraiya who had his arm blown off and was continously bleeding, we have seen Tsunade continue to fight despite having two Susanoo swords lodged on her abdomen. Also, she may not be as fast as Kakashi or Jiraiya, but she is still fast in her own right (she is faster that an Anbu member despite having almost zero chakra and her reaction time is faster than Mei responding to an attack). Pain pulling in her soul only happens if he manages to restrain them, an doe you think Tsunade with all her power can be easily be restrained? Even Konohamaru was able to outsmart Human Path (the one who takes the souls). What I am saying is that, of course she cannot defeat Deva Path and she will surely struggle against Animal Path, but for the rest of the Pains, it would be easy pickings - and this is granted that the battle scenario was a 1 vs 1 battle or even 2 vs 1. Even Naruto himself while in Sage Mode only had a fighting chance because Katsuyu gave him all the Intel against each Pain.

@@mr.googoopants3581 Sure, 1v1 against the Pains, ye she stands a hell of a chance, but if she's in the same scenario as naruto, where all 6 approach her at once, there is no way in hell she is even killing 1 of them, ye the paths of pain won't withstand 1 punch, but tsunade will absolutely not land a hit on any of them if they are guarding each other like that. Also, both Madara and Obito are implied to have all the rinnegan abilities Nagato those, i mean, the rinnegan nagato had literally belongs to Madara. They just don't use it too often because of the immense chakra drain the abilities have. And the Asura path is physically the strongest Pain and is capable of manifesting blades, which it can use to slice Tsunade in half if it gets the oppurtunity. Defeating the Paths of pain 1v1, or 1v2, is honestly not that impressive, since even Konohamaru was able to best one by himself. So ye, in a 1v1 or 1v2 scenario, sure tsunade would do fine, but she's dying in a few seconds if all 6 rush her.

You are correct on how his jutsu works. As for how its different than someone like Magneto. Without going into spoilers I can say his jutsu controls gravity.with him at the center depending on how he manipulates it he can push and pull. When we get to the end of the arc he will use it more and I can explain more if ya wish as there is more to it than that. But as far as what we see in this episode it's close enough.
