I really appreciate you going into Josephs character. It gets really stale hearing people say old Joseph becomes a shadow of his former self especailly in part 4. I've enjoyed Joseph since 2 but grew to appreciate him more as I read/watched 3 and 4. He'll never be one of my favourite Jojos but always enjoy what he brings to the series. Within Unsho I wouldn't be able to appreciate Joseph as much as I do rest in peace.

@@Rg-fp2vg If anything, the first "evidence" is evidence against that, as he didn't even get Josuke. He tried looking for his son, and got several photos of Aqua Necklace and Angelo instead. Then again, Hermit Purple's divination has always been vague and inaccurate when it comes to scouting people Joseph hasn't met, and locations relating to them. Also, the end is after he recovered somewhat, since the manga alludes to the fact that Shizuka helped get Joseph out of his funk. Taking care of an infant is already strenuous exercise for a geriatric, much less taking care of an invisible one. He still didn't completely have his wits about him, as he clearly wasn't lucid enough to grab his wallet out of the air with HP. However, Joseph's spirit is just as strong as ever, despite gallstone surgery, weak legs, cataracts, a foggy memory and dentures, and it kicks in when someone else's life is in danger.

Cancer is sad and I have family with it now, it seems pretty common in my recent family history. I'm saddened from his passing and honestly still haven't gotten over Bulma's VA passing at such a young age.

Joseph is personally my favorite Joestar because part 2 he's the wild teen who ends up saving the world and begins to mature, part 3 he's the wise, cunning, funny Grandpa who's on a mission to save his daughter and to end the bastard that tormented his family for centuries, and part 4 he's in his last years but realizes he has a son and comes to love him and be proud of him (seriously the first time I watched the episode when Joseph was walking down and his cane broke and Josuke caught him and hold his hand to walk him over was so good that I cried from happiness ;-;). Rest in peace Unsho Ishizuka... I'll remember you for many roles you played and the joy and entertainment you brought for many. Thank you and I hope you rest easy.

*Plays Departure* Another crusader laid to rest. This really is a crushing blow the not just the anime community, but many family and friends as well. Though we've lost a great "badass old man" we can still take solace in the fact that we and those of the future will always have his amazing work to remember him by. It pains me seeing as this man had Voice acted so many of my favorite characters of the years such as Hoenheim from FMA. I truly do thank Mr. Ishizuka for the enjoyment that he's brought, not just to me, but the community as a whole. This trip... Was a lot of fun wasn't it? We had quite an adventure together... Right? I love Joseph not only because he's a goofy swindler who's willing to play the fool before mockingly turning the tables on his foes, but because he's also a hero, despite his asshole tendencies. He's selfless, upstanding, and fervent, and he's inherited a lot more from his grandfather than it may seem. It's a strength of Araki to be able to write a protagonist so opposite (mostly) from the one prior, and yet not lose the theme of your work.

@@BlackScreenProductions125 Joseph doesn't run the SPW. The SPW is a Foundation, it isn't owned by any singular person after Speedwagon's passing. Foundations are often run by a board of individuals, and the Foundation only sponsors environmental and medical research (never mind all the top secret supernatural shit. That gets its own department). Speedwagon's will only stipulated that the SPW is bound to aid the entire Joestar family in any capacity, no matter the conditions. It didn't pass ownership of it to anybody. The SPW is most likely "owned" by several people, in as much as they invest into it. Also, Joseph already has his hands full with being a real estate mogul, and Jotaro has marine biology work to handle. The other members of the family either don't want to, or aren't exactly qualified enough to become a chair. Jojo would be the best fit to chair or own the Foundation, but it was established after his passing.
