I think pt.3 Dio would not actually let the fight carry on to long. Before drinking Joseph’s blood, Dio was extremely careful not to lose to his own arrogance a second time. That’s why he spent so long making sure Jotoro was dead. Dio would probably fight Sukuna to the point where a hole is blown through his chest. When Sukuna doesn’t die, he would probably act impressed, talk a whole bunch of shit about “I went easy on you, but just wait till next time.” And then nope out because he wouldn’t want to take the chance.

I feel like DIO's battle IQ gets a little downplayed sometimes when people bring up his ego; but when you actually watch how he thinks over the course of a battle, as soon as something proves to be dangerous to him, he takes zero chances and focuses on neutralizing his opponent asap. This on top of his ability to use pseudo teleportation and near-instant almost omni-directional projectiles with the precision of The World via timestop, means as soon as Sukuna gets taken seriously it's just a countdown until DIO goes for the head imo.

Small correction: the attacks cannot be dodged. Sure-hits from Domain Expansions literally do not exist until they connect with you. The slashes will quite literally for all intents and purposes spawn on you in the domain. The only way to defend against a sure-hit is with Cursed Energy reinforcement (which is very impractical) or with anti-domain techniques that can neutralize the domain's embedded techniques if you don't have your own domain or wouldn't win a domain clash.

@bananabanana484 Yeah, it's one of those situations where this Sukuna has all the kit to easily kill DIO, but knowing how the character think and use their abilities, it isn't too likely. Assuming DIO can damage him without cursed energy since he has strength comparable to high grade Cursed Spirits, I think once DIO sees he can't kill Sukuna with thrown knives or a blow to a vital spot, he'd be smart enough to go for the brain most likely. Sukuna isn't one to just use his Domain (only used it on the Finger Bearer on a whim and on Mahoraga/Gojo for obvious reasons), but we know damn well DIO is going to spam Time Stop. After the first Time Stop doesn't work, DIO'll probably aim for the brain before Sukuna thinks to pull out his Domain if he isn’t shredded by Cleave/Dismantle too badly when time resumes

​@@staarfinger7322I don't think DIO's stand could do that however we do know Sukuna's attacks especially in Malevolent Shrine affect both the body and the soul (as he did cause Mahito massive damage when his soul was interacted with and Mahito can only be hurt by affecting his soul) so Sukuna should be able to in a sense kill DIO's stand and stop DIO from using his limbs even with regen as DIO (as far as I know) can't regen his soul.

Dio having stop time is just too powerful. Sukuna can regenerate but Dio essentially can press the pause button on it. Only way Sukuna stands a chance is by catching Dio off guard with a domain expansion. It has to work that way, otherwise you're nerfing Dio by having him act out of character. A time stop means death, and if Sukuna's head gets removed and starts regenerating I don't feel like Dio's gonna hold off to talk to Sukuna while it happens.

Dio drains Sukuna, accidentally makes Jonathan a vessel for Sukuna. Sukuna then interacts with Jonathan's soul, makes a binding vow to return the body to Jonathan and defeat Dio, Jonathan refuses to accept as he doesn't need to live, his body can be destroyed, but he won't risk Sukuna simply being a new Dio and using his body for evil. Sukuna's counter offer is the same he offered Yuji, he can switch at any time he chants and can't kill anyone during that time. Jonathan, being more naieve and less jaded than Yuji, takes the deal. Dio loses. Jonathan lives again with cursed energy, hamon and a stand, and becomes the strongest protag of JJBA and JJK.

I feel like Sukuna would win most times if Dio doesn’t gauge his strength properly or underestimates his durability. Dio and Sukuna both are prone to toying with their opponent but Sukuna tends to get things over with quicker than Dio, who tends to talk more. If Dio was being serious, he could just stop time immediately and cut off/ destroy Sukuna’s head. Sukuna could probably tank a few punches from the World due to cursed energy reinforcement, but The World at full strength could punch a hole or pulverize a part of Sukuna’s body. Dio can stop time to get out of Malevolent Shrine, but he does have to activate The World before MS takes effect or he’s done. The World also could react fast enough to parry Dismantle, but Cleave might be something The World nor Dio could handle. Sukuna also has a larger effective range of attack even without Domain Expansion. Dio’s regeneration is a non factor here unless Sukuna sends him flying and happens to still be feeling him out/ doesn’t activate Domain Expansion, because Sukuna is used to opponents regenerating. So in summary it’s a high diff, quick draw fight if Dio wants to win.

Dio doesn’t have insane durability, he has regeneration thanks to being a vampire. Just remember that he got his leg chopped off by some large glass shards in the Jotaro fight. You also have to remember that his regeneration was slower before drinking Joseph’s blood, where a single blow to the head from Star Platinum (ik that it’s incredibly powerful) was enough to stop him from healing and almost crippled him (made him unable to use his legs).

Let's not forget that Sukuna blocked Mahoraga's blade with his arm. Now. That attack left a crater in the ground which is a feat Jojo characters struggle to do (I personally only remember Act 4 Johnny to be capable of this). A blunt force attack is different from the swing of a blade in terms of delivering kinetic energy. Sukuna being durable enough to withstand THE CONCENTRATED FORCE of that attack (that as an aftereffect left a crater in the ground) on his skin without needing major recovery gives me the feeling that it's not sure The World/Dio would even have the destructive prowess enough to even harm Sukuna's body. This is a major factor considering their power levels. If Dio is not strong enough to generate enough BLUNT FORCE (his knives are far less durable than Mahoraga's blade so they're out of the equasion) than there is no possibility that he has a chance against Shibuya Arc Sukuna. His eye laser is the closest thing I can imagine capable of harming Sukuna, which is still problematic for him, since healing from a clean cut is close to nothing for curses. Also Dio's prime vampire body was already susceptible to cuts (not to mention his nerfed part3 body), so Sukuna would have an easy time chopping him up.

In his fights and dealing with everyone he was being cautious to not let his arrogance over come him, but with the Joestar's he was more arrogant, and couldn't keep control. DIO is going to kill Sukana the moment he realizes that Sukana is strong and perhaps equal to him (but not the world. DIO was VERY admament about The World being his most powerful weapon and that it wasn't part of himself, but more like a tool.) And Domain Expansion, while powerful, won't really be able to deal with DIO. DIO is very paranoid, the moment Sukana brings it out, he's going to seek to destroy Sukana as fast as possible and use back to back time stops. Also, something I don't really see people bring up. After The World was destroyed DIO was STILL ALIVE, which is something I think should be taken into account as surviving having your soul obliterated isn't something most mfs live from.

Spoilers for anime-onlys down below. Gojo surviving the domain has literally nothing to do with durability. He out-healed the slashes, not tanked them. At one point his entire neck is slashed, but he heals his neck right behind the cut quick enough that he doesn't die. Outside of the domain, again, it wasn't a durability issue. Limitless prevented the attacks from ever reaching him. Also, as other people have pointed out, it isn't just "difficult" to dodge a domain's sure hit effect, it is literally impossible. The attacks spawn directly on to the target with no travel time, hence limitless not being able to stop them. The one caveat most have is that they have to lock on to cursed energy, which doesn't apply to Sukuna's domain anyways.

Long time fan of the channel. I would like to point out two things. 1. Dio, without a domain, would be subject to the sure hit factor of Sakunas domain, they cleaves would hit him. 2. The reason Sakunas cleaves haven't hurt people in the past we're either because his output was extremely low(I believe 10%) or the recipient was using rct. A small misconception you have about cleave, certain characters withstand it due to reinforcing their bodies using techniques like falling blossom emotion by countering an attack with their own attack by using their cursed energy (Like using cursed energy as an offensive aura, Imagine a bullet shooting another bullet out of the air), this lessens the damage taken by domain expansions when simple domains wont cut it allowing for reverse curse technique to heal any attacks that do slip through, simple domains being using your own curse energy to distort the barrier of a domain expansion creating "hole" in said domain like a safe area nullifying the sure hit attack (Yes DE do always hit their target) (this does not work with Sukuna's due to it being manifested in the real world though) another way to counter a domain expansion is using your own DE The Later in the manga a certain person aids another character to withstand Sukuna's cleave and dismantle by reducing Sukuna's CE output. Yeah, if we look at jogo's meteor, an attack sukuna said WOULD damage him if he took it head on, we see that it's around the size of a large chunk of shibuya, so an attack that could level a mountain could certainly damage sukuna, when you consider that DIO has timestop and is overall faster than sukuna, i think he has the advantage in this fight, but this is DIO we're talking about, so he could very easily get cocky and lose to a single domain expansion. But i do think that current sukuna in the manga has a much better chance and is a more even fight.

The thing with dagon’s island is that that its a hax of the verse not actual attack potency. By the same logic gojo would have infinite power because he makes infinite space and makes infinite knowledge with void. Moreover domains are a trump card and not a normal attack, so to say each of dagon’s punches would be island level is off putting

I think Sukuna can reinforce his body with so much cursed energy that Dio couldn’t harm him with physical attacks. Jotaro took more damage for a point blank explosion that couldn’t even destroy a building than amped up Dio Muda rushin. Dio being mountain level makes no sense.Characters in jjk have been on the brink of death to way stronger explosions than the one that hit Jotaro and those characters no where near compare to Sukuna.

For Gojo and Sukuna though this process cannot be taken advantage of because that process is instantaneous. Dio (if he had the strength) would split it his head and before the blow registers after time stop the cursed energy would be in the entire body including the head.

First of all, Sukuna has reversed curse technique which means if DIO doesn’t stop time then Sukuna will not be able to be damaged. Secondly, as soon as he decides to use his Domain it’s over. DIO gets shredded. You seriously think that something that killed Mahoraga wouldn’t kill DIO? Aswell as Sukuna being strong physically and fast with fire abilities and cursed energy.

Sukuna could overwhelm Dio with speed and power by sending him through buildings and using cleave or dismantle it would be hard for Dio to fight back cause 1. Dio can only stop time for a few seconds. 2. Dio's stand requires the opponent to be very close. Sure it's fast and deadly but Sukuna has shown to be extremely fast like when he fought Jogo. A special-grade cursed spirit known to be extremely fast. Sukuna also has long-range attacks against Dio like cleave dismantle or Domain expansion. He's cocky and arrogant but is really smart so I think if Sukuna can overwhelm Dio with his speed and his long-range attacks. It'd be hard for Dio to stop the time. And not even forgetting the fact that Sukuna's abilities are lethal. Fire arrows are strong enough to explode a large area so even if he doesn't aim Dio he can probably aim somewhere close to him like the floor Dio's standing on. Dio isnt even beating early Megumi. Dio is weaker than 3 finger Sukuna who was capable of tossing Megumi through buildings. Dio cant do that to anyone, let alone take a hit like that. Both his durability and ap are pretty low when compared to jjk. Megumi was thrown through buildings by a 3 finger Sukuna without losing any limbs. Dio lost a leg when glass fell on it. This only amplifies when we look at his ap, he has never shown any feats similar to 3 finger Sukuna. And on top of that, Dio is an egotistical idiot. He tried to finish off Jotaro with a sign, he threw knives at Jotaro, etc. Hes not very smart. Megumi only needs his 9 shadows to kill Dio fairly easily. Seeing how Dio was unable to stop attacks from Jotaro multiple times. Megumi and his shadows should more than overwhelm him.

Naoya’s speed was specifically travel speed as he ran across a city then went back and slammed into maki and keep in mind his cursed technique essentially caused him to appear like he was glitching. This was also pre awakened maki, once she awakens she has no trouble with him. When it comes to combat speed we’ve seen maki catch bullets, hakari dodge lightning, and kenjaku react to black holes which move at the speed of light

Sukuna wins this pretty easily. I think people are misunderstanding JJK scaling and weirdly assuming jojo characters can hurt anyone with their punches.... Charcaters like Jotaro and Dio consistently scale to at best large building lvl. Weirdly enough, they always do feats in this ball park. Maybe you can make a case with multi city block. While JJK characters like Sukuna at a low ball is small city+ scaling based off his fire arrow. Then gojo casually moving while in japans trench 8000 meters underwater causing an earthquake can be scaled to island lvl. As far as strength goes sukuna takes it. As far as speed. Jojo takes it. I would like to say though that jjk has massively hypersonic scaling with hakiri and obviously peoples faster than him. But ofc massively hypersonic doesnt compare to massively FTL. As far as the fight. Its basically sukuna dealing with a gnat he cant touch. So domain expansion into a dub. Stopping time wouldnt matter if he couldnt do dmg

Spoiler alert: I think Dio would win. Like Axiruz said, Dio can stop time and attack Sukuna when time is stopped even in DE. As revealed in Gojo and Sukuna’s DE battles, Sukuna is the center of his domain, meaning fatal attack against him is guaranteed to destroy the domain itself. Combining his vampiric abilities and Stand (which is a manifestation of the user’s soul), Dio would theoretically be able to damage Sukuna both long and short range.

Manga spoilers : I think you are vastly overestimating dios regeneration we know that the helicopter guy fodder guy from the manga can block a 50 caliber bullet with just cursed energy. And sukuna is in another realm of cursed energy output. We have seen nothing of dios durability to show its fast enough to keep up with the domain expansion for less than a second. It may be more versatile but it is much slower than a certain someone’s regeneration in the manga when they were in malevolent shrine. So dio as soon as he is caught would likely die before he could time stop.

[my opinion] if they dont have any info about eachother id say sukuna is more likely to just instantly kill dio than dio is to instantly kill him Dio really REALLY likes punching people in the torso. So sukuna would probably get hit with that, heal, and decide to just remove his head BUT if dio for any reason at all(out of character) decided that he needed him dead as soon as possible he could just end the fight at the start with time stop *take away for this is that i think in character, fighting with no knowledge of the other i think sukuna would win because of how much dio likes to play with his opponents
