Thats why so many Latin people are degrees of all colors. Cuz the vast majority of people have white genes. My mom has very dark skin, my dad does not. Me and my brother came out white. Like that baby has like a 85%-100% chance of being white.

For the people wondering, yes babies look a different complexion when they are born (usually more pale) but another bigger reason is genetic recombination. Skin is made by combination of many genes together to form all the different hues of skin tones that we have. So if the mother or the father are carrier of the lighter/darker genes and its a wee bit higher in number the baby can be of a different skin tone than their parents. How do i know this? i study about this :)
