11:58 That's just full on assault guys. You can't consent when you are unconscious. Doesn't matter the reaction after, it's not ok to do. Either this man's wife cheated or SA'd him. I don't know why we're acting like she'd be justified in being upset over a paternity test. She's absolutely out of line and a paternity test in this scenario is the best thing to do. If it's his kid, it was a product of SA. If it isn't his kid, she made up a story of SA to cover up an affair. Either way, he has every right to be suspicious and investigate this. A divorce should be in the works and a paternity test to see if he has parental responsibility for the child. If the roles were reversed, that's exactly the advice we'd give the woman. Leave the man, report him for SA, and make sure there's a paternity test to cover a legal demand for child support through the court. Granted, it is also possible that he's making it all up and is just trying to flake. In that case, the wife should be demanding a test to prove it, then divorce him and take him to court for child support.

I remember one of the rare weddings I went to where the bride and groom helped plan with the best man to propose to his long time partner, and we knew that because they set up the proposal for the rest of the guests. In cases like that, when the bride and groom are ok with it, then it’s fine, but if they say no, even just one of them, that is the only way it’s ok.

I was in a wedding where friends of the bride and groom, who were already engaged and didn't ask, went up to the DJ asked for the mic and he "proposed" to her in front of the entire wedding reception. It felt wrong and tacky.
@anamazing22974 ай бұрын
One of the few ways I wouldn't find a wedding proposal tacky is if the bride "tosses" her bouquet directly into their hands, and everyone is ready to say "you're next!" already. That kind of thing is a sweet preview of coming months, but doesn't take over the rest of the reception when the bride and groom are involved in it, imo.

I remember going to my husband’s cousins wedding when I first got pregnant. A few of the family members kept trying to bring it up and I refused to talk about it. I’ll never forget when we were leaving the bride came up and gave me the biggest hug and thanked me for refusing to talk about my pregnancy. She said of course I could have but she was very grateful for me not doing it and taking any part of her moment. Paternity Tests- Women need to embrace getting the paternity of their babies tested, BEFORE dad signs the birth certificate. Some states are already making this mandatory, because the stats are: 1/3 of American men are paying to raise children that are not their own. Most of them don't even know. Me, interviewing to be a friend's Maid of Honor: Friend: "And how do you plan to handle anyone wearing white who isn't the bride?" Me: "Full glass of red wine in each hand, + fake a seizure." Friend: "Very good. Next question? How do you deal with crazy family members who show up despite being told not to?" Me: "I got friends in high places. I also got friends in *sleezy* places. Saying more would jeopardize your plausible deniability." Friend: "Excellent! Final question: What if a different couple tries to highjack the spotlight away from the bride and groom on their special day?" Me: "I assume they've already been told not to do that? Yeah, I swung by Sister's house on the way here to grab a little... care package... she offered to put together ..." *Proceeds to hold up a positive pregnancy test, an ultrasound showing twins, and a sealed envelope stamped with the address of a DNA testing lab in Vermont* "She wrote me a script, too, and it starts out with, 'You said you were gonna leave all your side pieces, you cheating *&$@!'* But if a more subtle solution is your preference, I come bearing gifts of my own." *Holds up a fist intentionally kept closed.* Friend: " ... ... ... Your hired!" If you ain't willing to tap your lowest crawling sources for.. roofing material... to make sure your bestie's day ain't ruined by attention-clowns, are you even Maid of Honor material?

Lucy is TAH. The wedding was all about OP (original poster) NOT LUCY!! I know what it feels to be the shadow, I’m the second born of 5 kids and my sister is the limelight. Now that I’m engaged and pregnant, I have the appropriate amount of attention. 5:30

The first story….LET LUCY HAVE HER MOMENT!? AT YOUR WEDDING!?? The wedding is literally about you! It’s your special day! Lucy is stealing the spotlight… Lucy is by far the scalawag! I’d be fuming if my sister did that and I’d probably scream at her!

I was at a wedding where. An ex-boyfriend of the bride was invited, but Ashley showed up. He was friends with her whole family. But the worst part is during the ceremony when I get you if there’s anyone who says they are not fit, speak now or forever hold your peace. - Boyfriend stands up and blurts out how much she loves the bride. Ruining and causing a ripple between the family. Ultimately extending the length of the wedding. Where the ex-boyfriend was. Removed somewhat nicely and touched up. So long story short they got married. Comes to their one year anniversary. Ex-boyfriend of the sister to get married is now dating the younger sister. Where during the ceremony he proposes to the other sister. But gets drunk and mentions how much she still in love with the older sister. We shall see how this goes on but I figured I would pose hell bad this was and what a female view is ?

The one telling their sister that her fertility issues is a blessing in disguise hit home. I'm 2018 I had a miscarriage and my bff at the time told me it's my fault and it's gods way of telling me I'd be a bad mum and not have kids. Yep from that day she became an ex bff as I was just done.

I think it’s ok to propose at a wedding if you have permission from the couple first. Cause I’ve seen videos where the bride and groom helped someone propose at their wedding and I think it’s special if they’ve gotten permission first

You and Jessica shine together. That being said, I think the most pertinent issue you highlighted was playing "Never have I ever..." with old friends. I agree that's a loser idea especially considering the relationships involved. People should respect each other's boundaries, and if you don't know how, at least know to check yourself!

If someone proposes at your wedding, do the ultimate bite... Gently go up, ask to see the ring. STARE at it, really look. And then, after a few moments. "Oh, sorry. [Proposer] clearly couldn't afford a special venue or nice dinner to do this, and so had to do it at mine without my permission. I just wanted to make sure they didn't cheap out on the ring as well." Then you've let everyone know you didn't okay it, AND you can make the one being proposed to question the ring's value and validity. Petty, but deserved.

The IVF/infertility hit me. Im a guy and am complete unable to get anyone pregnant. Doc said there's Basically no one swimmin. I found out and broke up with my girlfriend of 4 years. She dreamed of having her own children since she she could remember, and I did too. And I couldn't give her that. Knowing that even with fertility treatment there was no way short of some wild medical miracle I could give her that absolutely destroyed me. I don't think even two years later can describe that feeling.
