Me too. I've never even played an arcade machine before in my life. Speaking of arcade machines, I wonder if she will get the Simpsons arcade as well as Terminator 2 the arcade machine as well. That would be so awesome.
Congratulations on the building of your own arcade. The US lost true arcades years ago. Sorry to see Japan going the same way. Can’t wait to see yours once it’s completed.
@jamesrawlins735 Жыл бұрын
It looks like outside of a few places in Tokyo (like the giant Sega arcade building), there just isn't the demand anymore. Think the cost of the machines has gotten so high (plus high rent) it also makes it even more challenging for smaller arcades.
@CESx96 Жыл бұрын
Idk there’s still plenty of Round ones in Japan. But classic arcade games not much tho.
@chrisstory563 Жыл бұрын
well, in the US the arcade scene has a dramatically changed but not in a good way. Arcades has switch to redemption/ticket games. very few retro arcades are around US with the excepting of a few big time retro arcades like Galloping Ghost where unfortunately that place sadly is located in one the worst places in the US as of lately. anyway, it cool that Kana is pursuing her habby on her downtime.
@D2Kprime Жыл бұрын
@@chrisstory563 The area around *Galloping Ghost* isn't my choice for a vacation, but it's not bad. Rough-ish neighborhood really adds to the retro feel of it. We have a similar arcade in Wisconsin call *The Garcade.* It is located in Menomonee Falls which is just Northwest of Milwaukee. It's a pretty nice area too.
@TheCrypticFang998 Жыл бұрын
@@chrisstory563 In Texas we got some arcades like Cidercade. Pay 10 dollars and play all the games you want. The real money is in the alcohol

Asuka's time off is more entertaining than 80% of what the rest of the roster does on PPV. A true legend. But we all knew that already. All the best to Asuka's quest to create an arcade amusement building.
I haven't seen Kana chan grin this much in her videos in a long time. Makes me happy seeing her talk about video games. The thought of being able to actually build a place to keep her favorite arcade machines, that's just amazing 👏 🙌

So happy that Asuka can afford to do this. It makes me wonder, though, whether Asuka is nearing an end in wrestling in the US. I would be surprised to see her spend all that money for a private arcade unless she was planning on moving back to Japan in the near future. She's 42 and I believe she has a child so maybe she's near the final stage in the WWE.

Moving arcade machines is such a pain. Helped my friend move a Bad Dudes and a Punch-Out cabinet into his barber shop a while back and it was incredibly difficult, especially the Punch-Out machine because it has 2 monitors so the weight is even greater. Respect for managing all of those cabinets (even if you have someone doing some of the work for you).
So cool to see your collection of arcade games. In the US the arcades are almost a thing of the past, you will only see them in themed bars and many of those have mechines from Japan in them.

As someone slightly older than you I greatly miss "real" Arcades. All the Arcades today are mostly ticket games. I miss the days of Rhythym, FIghting, and Beat'em ups. I have 3 Arcades and 1 Pinball machine at home now to recreate some of that old feeling for myself. I'd absolutely open my own Arcade and Pinball place if I had the money to not be to concerned with its profits.
