What is the interior height of your shelter and what is the model number? Yours seems to be taller than most on the inside. I have the trooper carrier version but will put a shelter on the back of it. It doesn't look like yours has the integrated AC which is a plus.

Why is everybody so concerned with MPG? They're almost 20,000 lbs! If people are used to getting 20MPG+ is 7MPG much worse than 10?

Kyle899 Oh, yes! A 3MPG difference is much more significant from 10MPG to 7MPG than from 20MPG to 17MPG. 20 to 17 is a 15% loss in mileage. 10 to 7 is a 30% loss in mileage, so it matters more in the single digits.

They have many variants of the FMTV series. They’re anything from office spaces to production controllers (92A MOS). An expando van is the same office setup however the sides crank out. Military equipment is fun until you have to find those who’ve spent a career with it to fix it.

The manual lists a carry capacity of 5,000 lbs and a tow capacity of 12,000 lbs. However it also states you can tow another LMTV (about 16,699 lbs unloaded).
