Absolutely loved the movie. Even better because I put my money on Michelle and her Prince. The movie got me hooked to Michelle's backstory which was unreal and surreal.

@@willieB22 it’s nice to pick a winner every once in a great while !!! So you’re from down under , and you like the ponies huh ? I was a pretty big time gambler in my day Trying to hit the big one well I did but not gambling and now it’s curbed my desire to gamble and all it took was a Hefty chunk of change lol

She got the horse into a beautiful position, about 9 or 10th back on the fence. Shook him up a little at the start to not let him fall back, and then let him settle, then took him out on the final turn to look for a run........and got a gap.

Reminds of Bossys rides on the diva, buried away, asleep throughout, then getting off at the right time, picking the right horses to follow thru, and then lookout, not a penny spent with 300m to go. Geez it was a great ride. (just watched ride it like a girl, so thought I'd revisit)👌

Amazing woman, Michelle Payne. She is now an advocate for total non-use of the whip.
@isabellalittle79774 жыл бұрын
U know she used the whip like the whole time
@michaelhoffmann28914 жыл бұрын
@@isabellalittle7977 Are we watching the same video? She did NOT use it the "whole time". Only at the last stretch - and even then we can't tell whether she actually struck the horse or, like jockeys do, just swish it. The last 100m she didn't use it at all, as can be clearly seen, she just took both hands forward and gave the horse the reins. EDIT: just viewed another version of the race. One with aerial views. No use of whip. In the video above you see her swishing her *right* hand - yet you then see she actually held the whip in her *left*.
